Good value in Mahwah
The PROS: The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We found it to be a very good value. Location provided an easy on and off to a couple different main roads. The negatives: The walls, drapes etc. could certainly use a facelift. We arrived at night and the hotel could certainly use some additional roadside lighting to let you know it was there. We would certainly stay here again.

Food
Don’t expect complimentary breakfast here unless you have booked some special rate/deal. Not like some other hotels in that regard. Otherwise, a pleasant place to stay. Enjoyed pool and used laundry facilities. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets were complimentary!

Very near train station so easy to take train into NYC for the day.

Friendly Hotel
Staff was friendly, and the hotel was nicely maintained. It was as expected for a Marriott Courtyard.

Recently remodeled
My room was recently remodeled and was like new. Obviously, I don’t know if every room is in that condidtion.

Lives up to expectations
Positive: very clean, quiet, comfortable room. Negative: no microwave, no fridge, expensive (but good) breakfast.

clean, well-priced, good service
I have stayed a few times now at this hotel and have been very happy overall. Not only are the rooms clean, modern, but the price is about the best in the Mahwah area for the quality. Most were quite a bit more and offered no better. Plus their indoor pool was very nice.

it was ok
I had a corner room by the stairs which was an awkward fit so if possible dont get that room. I am assuming the others had a better outlay.

Princess & the Pea Syndrome
For me it’s all about a good night’s sleep. Bedding consisted of a mattress pad that moved every time I or my husband did. I spent all night trying to smooth out the bedding beneath me. Not a good night for this princess.

Remove the mattress pad before you go to bed!

Convenient and kid friendly
No restaurant, but many deliver in the area. So once we got over that hurdle, we were ok. Our bathtub hadn’t been cleaned at all, but they were very apologetic and gave us a free movie. Location and breakfast were outstanding. The employees at this hotel make it. Without them, it would have been mediocre at best. I would recommend this hotel, but check the bathroom and the sheets. I am not completely confident in the housekeeping staff’s ability to keep a super clean hotel room.
