Simple hostel near the airport
I had a private room with only a bed and unpainted walls. There was A/C and shared bathrooms down the hall. Location was very near to airport with free pickup only. You have to pay to return to the airport. It’s a 30 minute walk to the center or an hourly shuttle that runs very late, but not during dinner time.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t pay $5 for internet access. Much cheaper in the town center.

Cheap Backpacker Hostel
A cheap backpacker hostel, a little ways from the CBD/downtown - once an hour, hostel provide a ride to downtown. Rooms are barely fitting the bed/bunk beds, smelly carpet.
