Not impressed with room
The condo type motel didnt have maid service, it had limited office hours and the room was listed as ocean side but really faced the roadway. The living room was very small and the TV hung from the ceiling almost breaking your neck to see it.

Paradise on the Gulf coast
Wonderful hospitality, great location, great restaurant nearby, breathtaking beach and sunsets. All of the above included with a great place to stay.
Must see: Sharky restaurant and Venice pier, watch the dolpins at south or north jetty at sunset. Hunt for sharks teeth on the beach also visit Crows Nest restaurant.

Pros and Cons
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in unit 21, a beachside efficiency. It was a very nice, newly renovated room, but VERY small. There is hardly any storage space in the room or the small bath, so after a day or two, you have things everywhere. I would not recommend an efficiency for more than a couple of days. It was very nice having the fridge and oven but there isnt any room to prepare anything so I wouldnt plan anything more than a frozen pizza. The beach was wonderful and peaceful. There were only 4 beach chairs and they got snatched up fast, I was glad I brought a large sheet to lay on since there were no beach towels that we could find. The courtyard is beautiful and nice to sit at when the beach was too hot. I would go back, but only if we got a bigger room.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
At around 7am there are lots of dolphins swimming at North Jetty Park, at the very south end of Casey Key road. We even saw some at sunset by the hotel. Pops Sunset Grill was way overpriced and had poor service. Caseys Grill and Tavern was very nice and delicious, a little pricey, but worth it. The outlet mall in Ellenton was great. We were a little disappointed with Mote Aquarium but loved the Sarasota Jungle Gardens. You can hold parrots and feed flamingos right out of your hand.
