Very Impressed

We needed a place to stay before spending a weekend in Savannah. It took us only 20 minutes to get to our seminar in the morning. The hotel was very clean overall and the room was very comfortable. There are plenty of places to eat in walking distance. Breakfast was very good, with a good selection of both hot and cold items. We would book this hotel again

Excellent

The location of this hotel and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed the comfort of the bed and room. The location was wonderful, due to it was my first trip to Hilton Head, it was centrally located to get to Savannah and Hilton Head Island.

would definately stay again

Our stay was great we enjoyed our time at this hotel. Employees were friendly and very helpful. We would definately stay there again in the future.

Not an enjoyable stay

The room smelled like mildew, and there were stains on the carpet. There was a wet spot in the corner where it looked like water was seeping up through the floor and one morning housekeeping threw my pillow in the water stain! We told management about the problem and all they did was move us to another room that wasn’t much better.

It was what I would expect for a days in or any chain hotel in that catagory/ It was clean and the people were friendly.

Nice, reasonably priced hotel!

The hotel was very decently priced! Everything was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The continental breakfast was pretty extensive (included a waffle maker!). And the location was amazing! Close to downtown Savannah and not too far from the highway to get to Tybee Island and Hilton Head. Would definitely stay again!

Great for the price!

This is easily the best value in the area. This is a true hotel with room prices similar to the nearby motels; but it has interior hallways, it’s clean and quiet, and has a complete continental breakfast. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Over all it was nice. Only complaint is that our bathroom wasn’t that clean.

Great stay

We were passing through on our way to disney and this was a great stay the beds were very comfortable and they offer a free breakfast, which we did not get to take advantage of because they stop serving at 10:00am which for most people it gives them ample time, but we wanted to sleep in because we had a long drive ahead of us, there is a cracker barrel close by if you do miss out on the breakfast. We would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through.

Clean and bright I had too check out at 3:30 am and the desk person asked if i wanted coffee even though they dont serve breakfast untill 6:00 am. Sometimes its the small things that count.

Don’t stay here if the pool is important to you.

The pool was green and filthy.

Ok Stay!

We had two problems with this hotel. First was the bed sheets were dirty. We found body hair and ink stains under the covers on the sheets. Second was the room had a weird odor. The front desk was very nice and helped us get a new room. The rest of the hotel was real nice.

planning to go back in Fall08

I sure hope on my nesxt stay that I can get similar room. It was a great stay.

It was a nice place to stay - my only complaint was difficulty with the wifi - I was not able to get online - if I’d stayed longer they offered to help resolve it.

Nice hotel despite some gliches

The check in was fast and easy because I booked through Expedia. The breakfast was great and included waffles which the kids loved. My only two problems with the hotel were the thin walls (you could actually hear conversations just passing doors and showers running) and one the second morning there I went to pick up some wet towels off the bathroom counter and spotted a roach. Which was not a great impression for a new hotel. I searched around for where it could have come from and found that the shower was not grouted around the pipe and wall.

A must eat is Paula Deen’s Lady and Sons resturant, it was the best Southern cooking I have ever had. There is also a little store in town called Terra Cotta that is down the street from the resturant at 34 Barnard. Loved Savannah (just not its smell)

Impressed

In picking a motel on line, I generally read reviews. In particular the cleanliness along with a reasonable price. I was not disappointed in either at this location. Service was good. location was a bit noisy.

Very Impressed-would go back and recommend

The hotel was clean, room, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Room had a fridge and a microwave along with intranet access, all great bonuses. Nice continental breakfast-including a waffle making machine. The workout room has a bike, elliptical and a treadmill. This is a perfect place to stay if you don’t mind a 20-30 minute drive into Savannah.

Old Trolley tours has a shuttle that will pick you up from the hotel and take you to downtown Savannah with the purchase of a tour ticket.

Not so impressed

This hotel had a terrible smell to it that made the stay unpleasant. However, it did seem to be localized to the second floor. Continental breakfast was great.

Wish I had more time to enjoy my stay

I had to get a hotel near the airport for work and arrived at 11:00 pm. The room was incredibly comfortable, especially for the price. I wish I had more time to have enjoyed it.

Very nice hotel

We encountered only a couple of minor problems; not enough help on duty during breakfast so the desk clerk had to go to the kitchen area to make waffle mix, bring out sweet rolls, muffins, etc., which left the front desk unattended. We had to wait in order to get checked out and to get out breakfast. Other than that, we thought it was very comfortable and easy to find. It was a little far from Savannah, however, we didn’t mind the drive since it was a straight shot. If you are going to site see in Savannah, we suggest you stay much closer into town. Parking places are almost impossible to find.

Fast food places are nearby.

Excellent New Hotel

Very nice hotel. Close to several fast food places to help grab a quick bite. Decent price. Rooms are extrmely clean and well-maintained. Continental breakfast is good.

Although a little out of town, this hotel exceeded my expectations.

Queen beds are a must for us as we have to share our beds with kids. So this definitely was a deciding factor on choosing this hotel. We were all very comfortable.

Excellent quality hotel - high quality for value cost

We were very happy with our stay. Clean, comfortable, excellent furnishings. Hotel is less than a year old. Breakfast selections were excellent - able to cook your own waffles, along with bagels, and various other breakfast items such as fruit, juices, fresh coffee, etc. We felt we had gotten a real bargain.
