First stay in India and I had a great time
The amarante hotel is a great hotel with one of the most georgous pool I have ever seen. The staff is friendly and forthcoming. Me and my wife had a great stay. The only downfall is that it is a bit pricy compare to other hotels in the area. If you are a business traveler do expect to pay $13 a day for internet access, when it is available. We had a few days where it was not available.

There are plenty of shopping around the hotel. You must barter to get a good price. Usually the price offered is at least twice as much as the real price.

Great location, great service, great food @ hotel. This place is great for everyone. It’s right on the beach and right by all the clubs and beach fun. The hotel is maintained extremely well with excellent service. Easily one of the nicest, if not the nicest hotel in that area of GOA. Oh and a great rate!

Heaven in Goa
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It’s rated 3 or 3 1/2 stars but the service is 5 stars! The hotel had a car ready to pick me up at the airport with an easy to see placard. It took about 45 mins to get to the hotel and the drive is scenic. The hotel itself is very clean, the service was excellent! Everyone was helpful and ready to serve! There are 2 hammocks setup by the pool..a perfect place to read or take a nap. I wish I had taken time to go to the spa.

It’s a very quick walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes. Be sure to take cash with you if you are interested in water sports or want to eat or drink. Also, to avoid paying for a lounge chair on the beach, go to a shack that let’s you lounge for free with a purchase (usually a beer).

Want to go back
I went to Goa, without expecting to ever wish to return. I just wanted to see the area once in my life. However, the hotel stay was so good that now I want to return. Hotel staff was all helpful and friendly and attentive. It was just a short 2-minute walk to a beach, and also close to lots of little shops. Our room was large and comfortable, and great value for the money.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
You can hire a taxi for the entire day including to take you to a nightclub and wait for you there.. for about 1000-1200 rupees (after negotiating a bit).

Lemon Tree
An excellent hotel to stay to relax and enjoy the quiter side of Goa but close enough to the nightlife and restaurants to go out in the evenings. Excellent standard of rooms and the swim up pool bar was an added bonus. Breakfast choice was slightly limited but the food was of a good quality and the waiters were friendly. A very enjoyable stay all round

It was a good 3 star hotel, staff were friendly and accomodating
Hotel was clean, beautiful and small scale in relation to Marriott and TAJ hotels. The room was very well furnished and everything was in good condition. The king sized bed was comfortable. The staff were polite, accomodating and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again. Location of hotel was also a plus. The pool and grounds are very well-maintained and the staff were diligent in the upkeep.

If you’re looking to stay in a small but well furnished hotel this is a good place. If you are looking more amenities and larger accomodations I would recommend staying at the Marriott Goa or TAJ.

Almost perfect
A real little gem in the heart of North Goa! Staff can’t do enough for you. Always friendly and happy to help when you ask. Very chilled out. The Republic Of Noodles restaurant is as good as authentic SE Asian gets!!! Ask for a garden view room - worth a few Rups extra for the tranquility. Only downsides were the angle grinders as there were renovations going on, and the ultra sub-standard breakfast. I would also try to avoid the taxi boys outside the hotel - their attitude doesn’t deserve your money.

Cant wait to return
First trip to Goa - stayed at the Lemontree. Got a great deal which included breakfast plus one meal. The grounds were very well kept. Short walk to the beach. The staff was extremely friendly, as well as helpful. Really liked the location of the htoel as it was close to a lot of bars, restaurants, shopping, and dance clubs.

Very good stay
Excellent hotel. The in house restaurant was expensive but had good food. A taxi from the airport to the hotel should not cost more than Rs. 700. (non AC) There are a couple of restaurants down the street which are good and for less than half the price. There is a complimentary breakfast buffet which is quite good. The staff were very helpful, rooms were very clean and I would definitely stay there again.
