Not impressed!
If you are looking for a bargain and have no expectations this hotel is ok. However, I cannot state enough the rooms are small, very very small. If you are at all clasterphobic you will not do well here. The location is ok, but is quite a long walk to downdown and the buses are sometimes infrequent. Staff was only marginally helpful.

A good value
This is a European style hotel. Nothing is fancy and travelers in search of luxury surroundings will not like it. However, for someone like me looking for a relatively inexpensive, clean comfortable place to stay, it was a good choice. If I ever return to Iceland, I would stay there again.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
For someone like me who is interested in history, the National Museum of Iceland has a good display on the Viking Age and the settlement exhibition in the Reyjakvik city center is also worthwhile.
