Very pleased and impressed
Our room was large and very well appointed. Lobby had cool 50s vibe. Staff was friendly and professional. Only complaint was that food we ordered at the beach took 1 hour to arrive.

$50 for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella if you want to sit on the beach.
+ an 18% percent gratuity on top of that for the staff pointing at two chairs and telling us to sit there. I went to the Fountainbleu next door and they have the same policy for chairs on the beach. Unconscionable. I will stay again at neither.

Good hotel
They have a new tower and old tower, we stayed in the old tower (renovated) and were pleased. We had a nice room that was large with no balcony. The room was clean, but not to my expected level. But the property and location is nice, on the edge of the busy southbeach area. The hotel is on the beach, we walked during the day and night on the boardwalk all the way to south beach and it was really nice. We also saw a fashion show at the hotel when we were there, it was really cool. I guess it was Miami fashion week.
