Very nice.
I stayed here with my kids to visit my daughter that lives in Atascadero. I was pleasantly suprised at the quality of the hotel. I usually try to saty at Marriott because I’m a little picky. We stayed her because it was closer to my daughters house. Well I have to say that this hotel was better than I expected. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice and generally had a good feel. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked like it would be enjoyable in the summer. I will stay here aging when visiting in the future.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Drive to San Luis Obispo and check out the shopping. I took my duaghters and we had a great time and a nice lunch.

Great place but....
The room was comfortable and clean. It seemed that I was one of four groups of people staying there, those other people happened to be to my immediate left, right, and across the hall. They stated that they had wireless internet.... good luck getting it to work, especially if you have a mac. I had numerous issues with the wireless, and then the direct line access to the internet. The icing on the cake was the fact that that it is the only hotel in town that does not have cell phone service. When I asked the front desk about it, they were quick to mention that I was not the first one to have the problem, and then a credit card would be needed for access to the phone even for local calls. Overall, a nice place if you do not want to have any contact with the outside world.

Not Like the Pictures
The front desk clerk was pleasant but the rooms’ hallway smelled bad and the room was stuffy. There was a "jacuzzi" tub as advertised but it looked like it was about 20 years old and the design made taking a regular shower difficult and dangerous since there was a hump in the middle. From the hotel description and pictures I expected a much better hotel but Best Western properties can be hit or miss. My advice, miss this one.
