Very Impressed - Kudos
Like most people I never pay much attention to customer reviews, much less write one myself but this time I had to write back. Here goes- Very classy and CLEAN hotel, great location and most importantly - people who go out of their way to make you feel taken care of. Im a guy so I normally dont care about this stuff but I believe that this was the way a 4-5 star hotel should be run, especially if you are vacationing with a female. Do it.

Can’t wait for a weekend getaway at the Ivy
This hotel has it all! A nice rooftop bar, rooftop pool with an excellent view of the city, a nice lounge, restaurants, excellent rooms, etc.

Excellent Hotel for Mature SINGLEs or EMPTY NESTERs’ Weekend Get-AWAY
An excellent hotel for a weekend get-away for the mature crowd. The Ivy Hotel is located near fine dining and shopping (Horton Mall). It is walking distance to most area attractions or a short walk to local transportation. The hotel has a nightclub for dancing as well as a roof top deck for smooth jazz and other sounds. My room had the extra large shower, big enough for two. The decor is minimalist, a full-bar, KRUPS coffee, an IPOD station, and a DO NOT DISTURB sign that is respected...a nice youthful atmosphere with an excellent staff!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Bring walking shoes. Buy the $5 daily pass and tour San Diego on the trolley and local transportation. Full day of activity -Buy the museum passport, $39, to visit 13 museums and the gardens, less expensive than paying individual admission price. Be aware CA has 8.75% sales tax on clothing!
