Best Western Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino

Clean and comfortable.

This hotel was fine. Good price. Clean and comfortable. The shuttle to the strip was convenient. A little loud but I was satisfied and would stay here again.

Was alright

My stay at Mardi Gras Best Western was actually ok. The service was great and the staff was helpful on questions and the rooms were clean. Although, the location was a little bit to ge to, but it was alright. I would stay there next time im in vegas.

Disappointed

The price we paid was quite reasonable but we were really disappointed with the small, crowded lobby/cafe/casino arrangement.

I would never go back.

The service we received was extremely poor. We had to practically beg someone to check us in. Once we finally got someone to help us we were told the room we had reserved was incorrect. After pulling out my reservation and fighting for ten minutes we finally got a room with two beds which was necessary with three adults! The room was not nice but clean on the surface (carpets stained but at least vacuumed, grout in tub cracked and falling out but at least no hair anywhere). In the morning we did not have any hot water and we were unable to reach anyone at the front desk after repeated phone calls. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good, clean place to stay just a half mile from the strip.

This is a old style hotel/motel, but it is pleasant. The rooms are large and comfortable and very clean. You do tend to hear more of what happens outside your room, then I would have liked, but it’s normal since I was on the ground floor. The "lobby" has a bar and mini slot casino, like every other place in Vegas. Overall a good, cheap place to crash after walking all over the big casinos on the strip.

Very Average

The bed was comfortable, the small kitchen had a lot of wasted space, they might want to consider putting small micro-wave, and toasters. Pool area nice, sun deck a bit scarry!!! Would stay again.

Bathroom vent could be better. Breakfast buffet was way below expectations.Should’ve gone to ihop Ac in room was very good.Staff very friendly.

We reserved a single room with TWO BEDS thru Expedia IN JULY and were confirmed on phone that we would get it. But when we arrived that night, we were given a small single room with only ONE FULL SIZE bed, and the manager insisted this was instructed by Expedia. There was no other room to change since all rooms were sold out. We had no choice to take it. This made a very unpleasant feeling for that trip. I believe Expedia conveyed the rightmessage, it is this Best Western hotel messing things up. I am letting Expedia aware of this for your future customers not to letting them disappointed at the time of checking in.

would use again

For a one or two night stay this hotel was fine. Don’t expect fine dining - just reasonable value for money not too far from the monorail and easy access to the Las Vegas strip.

Totally unexpected

I had expected an average room, nothing else. What I got was an extremely well cleaned, maintained and relaxing "suite" with a seperate bedroom and living room. I don’t know if all their rooms are like that, but I was very impressed by the room and by the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. I would definitely stay here again!!

Amazingly Impressive

My boyfriend and I visit Vegas alot. We usually stay on the strip, but are trying to save money, so we went with the Mardi Gras Best Western. It was awesome! It’s like having a little apartment. Our room had one Queen size bed, and a living room with couch and end table with a tv. There is a make shift kitchen with a refrigerator (no microwave or sink) and a large countertop with a bar stool. Our friends got a room with two beds, so it didn’t have the living room set up like ours. The pool is great. Alot quieter then most Vegas pools. There is also a deck on the 3rd level where we would hang out and play games. It’s very close to the strip! Seriously the best bang for your buck. We loved it!

Hotel is small but room was BIG: living room, bar area, bedroom and bathroom.

not impressed

TV did not work all the time.Could not see the TV from the other bed.Very few TV stations to watch, no HBO. Not enough bar stools only had one for the counter and only one chair for the room. There was no Microwave in the room either.

The hotel needs a revamping. The rooms are old, need to be repainted, bedspreads are old, rugs etc. Not a value for the price.

just 2 bad things: 1) hotel clerk gave us the wrong driving directions. 2) after spilling choc. milk on the bedspread, housekeeping did not give us another bedspread.

Nice place but unstable wireless internet

The hotel is nice. The price is ok. The wireless internet is unstable, hard to connect, and drop the line often. The hotel should provide landline for a backup since it’s near LVCC and most people’s travel purpose is for business.
