a lot of good things
This is a luxury resort for those who want quiet. It is small and this allows for personalized service without waits for the restaurants or for pool seating. While there are fabulous views of the water, there is no beach - service to a nearby beach is included. Meals were included and the food was far better than expected. Overall a terrific experience.

Beautiful and Relaxing - I’d go back tomorrow.
Gorgeous resort - everything was well done and our every need met. We went to relax and couldn’t have asked for a more pleasing spot to meet our needs. The food is very good - not excellent -- but much more than adequate and the service was always strong and pleasant. We went in August and it was about half filled which was wonderful because we could always find a lounge chair and never had to cope with waiting. We had rain only once and it lasted for about five minutes -- all I did was cover my book and head to the ocean for a dip. The rooms are lovely and tastefullly done and everything was well kept. I had a massage every day I was there in their beautiful spa and you could take yoga several times a day if you chose. One tiny drawback - the beach is about a mile away and you have to take a taxi to get there but the hotel pays for it and and it’s a very small hassle in the scheme of things. They even provide you with a lunch to take with you.
Traveler's tip
Be sure to get directions to the resort if you’re driving from cancun - it’s not clearly marked and we spent about an hour hunting it down at midnight. Surprisingly, no one in tulum seemed to know where it was located. So we drove, used logic, went on several wild goose chases, and finally stumbled on it. It’s not hard to find once you know where you’re going but specific directions would have been very helpful.

the only limit is that this hotel is not located on the beach. the beach is at 5 minutes by taxi.
