The location is perfect, hotel is okay
The Ramada is one of the few hotels in the area located in a pedestrian-friendly area. Front desk staff was courteous, though housekeeping would come any time between 10 AM and 3 PM, which was a little annoying. It’s apparently a popular place for local pool parties for kids, so the poolside rooms can be a little noisy up until the pool closes.

The hotel food is fair-to-average, but there’s plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, both formal places downtown (the Vierling, the Waterfront, Lagniappe) and more casual places up in the Village district (Vango’s, Casa Calabria, Togo’s, Sweetwater Cafe, Thai House).

Stinky
The people were great, the room looked great and was comforatble, but the room was pretty stinky. Though it was a smoking room, it shouldn’t smell that way. The maids service whould carry around Fabreeze for smoking sooms. The smell was very obvious and profound. Thank God we had Fabreeze or we would have had to switch rooms.

Marquette’s best
Awsome location. Our daughter attends MTU and we expect to re-visit your hotel often. Good stoppping off point on our long drives to see her.
