Il Nido dell'Etna

On the northern side of Mount Etna, in Sicily's Province of Catania, Il Nido dell'Etna Hotel is located in the characteristic small town of Linguaglossa, a popular ski destination during winter, and an ideal summer holiday retreat for families and sports enthusiasts. The hotel is convenient to several excellent golf facilities, not far from the beach, and of course close to Europe’s largest active volcano, Mount Etna, which can be admired from the hotel itself, or up close with a visit to the nearby Mount Etna National Park. In addition to visiting the town's historic and artistic treasures, guests of this contemporary hotel can spend time exploring the beautiful surrounding landscape by bike or on foot. In a tranquil setting, the newly built Il Nido dell'Etna (literally The Nest of Etna ) offers exceptional service, stylish accommodations and public areas, plus great on-site amenities, including a chic lounge bar, fine restaurant, free wireless Internet access and meeting space. English is well spoken by the friendly hotel owner, Luigi.

Great place, a bit expensive
What makes this hotel so nice is the service. The staff are always there to answer questions, serve you a drink, or help in any way. Really great service. Hotel is very conveniently located and free parking is available. The restaurant is excellent - one of the best meals we had in the city. The rooms are a small and A/C units noisy, although we had a fabulous view of Etna. The only complaint (and why I gave a 4 rating) is I felt the room was a bit expensive. I might try a B&B, but only if as convenient as this hotel.
Traveler's tip
Dont rely on google map to find this hotel. Although the directions were good, they were to a different B&B!! The only thing correct was, thankfully, the phone number so we were able to call and get the correct directions.

Stylish and Friendly
We couldnt believe this was considered a 2-1/2 star hotel! It was stylish, impeccably clean, and in every way surpassed the 4-star hotel (the Mediterraneao in Ragusa) we stayed in the following night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the restaurant lively and tasty (the house wine, by the carafe, was amazing.) We cant wait to go back later this spring.
