Most astonishing but good design

The design of the hotel and especially the rooms is astonishing but of excellent taste. The restaurants are partly very original and also well designed and the food is of good but not exceptional quality with prices on the high side for Thailand. The beach is rather boring and lacks the colours of other Phuket places. The hotel is way off everything and it takes at least one hour to Patong Beach with a taxi. The airport is very neat and depending the wind you hear the planes. Interesting experience but I would not come back

You have to go at least once to Patong Beach for dining and looking around

Very nice but very quiet (not much happening)

A very nice hotel to stay in. Very interesting achitecture and luxury bedrooms and bathrooms. Pools are nice and is close to the airport. The resort is huge and you do walk for miles. Good value for money but a long way away from where the action in Phuket is. Not a good place to therefore stay with teenagers. There needs to be more activities happening in the resort itself.

Stay at a resort with lots of activities happening. We hired cars and took taxi’s and with hind-sight hiring a car to get around in Phuket is the better way to go and very similar prices.

Great hotel

Near the airport, great accomadations and spa, close to the beach and kid friendly. Definitely recommend if you want to be away from the craziness of Patong Beach.

Absolutely impressed with service and hotel facilities

I took my wife for our honeymoon to the Indigo Pearl in Phuket and it was the best decision I ever made. The staff was absolutely great, we got an upgrade to the private pool villas, and they received us with Champaign in our room. This hotel is gorgeous, it has a modern design that inspired in the history of Phuket as a tin processor. It has three swimming pools, two of them for adults; it has different types of restaurants and the food is great (I highly recommend the buffet breakfast) and easy access to a pristine the beach. This hotel is perfect if you don’t want/need the noise from Patong Beach (the nightlife center). We spend 6 days in Phuket, 2 of which we stayed at the hotel, because between the restaurants, the swimming pools and the beach will give you enough to do, (or not to do and relax). You can get to Phuket town (for shopping) or Patong (for the night life and shopping) using a hotel shuttle (fee) or do what we did, hire a taxi for 8 hours so you can go to all the great places the island offers. If you are hesitant about choosing hotels, simply know that you will not go bad with this hotel; if anything you will impress your companion.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Do the Phi Phi island day trip, don’t miss it; also don’t miss the Hong by Starlight tour; you can book them both at your hotel. Those trips are absolutely worthwhile. We didn’t like the Simon Cabaret, so think twice about going; The Fantasea show is OK, but don’t have high expectations. Missing them both should not be a big deal.

Great hotel, but not five star

Beautiful hotel located on the north end of Phuket about a 40 minute taxi ride from Patong Beach where most of the activity occurs. Relaxing hotel with beautiful grounds, swimming pools and delicious breakfast buffet included. The problem I had with the hotel is it claims to be a five star resort, but is far from a ritz carlton or four seasons resort. The bed and bed linens are decent and not comfortable enough to be a five start resort. Also here was construction and visible grounds maintenance occurring at all times during our stay. Overall great hotel especially for the price. I would recommend this hotel, but kept in mind it is far from Patong Beach and therefore there is not much (no market, restaurants, shopping, bars etc.) in walking distance. There are a few on restaurants on the hotel beach front worth checking out.

NO DOUBT IT IS THE BEST HOTEL IN PHUKET

The hotel is rated 4 and half star and it is really 5 star. We stayed in a standard room but it was enough, it has a small balcony, and at the end we did not have time to enjoy the room because we were out enjoying all the different hotel facilities. The service is the best, since you arrived the people is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, take your time to enjoy an excellent breakfast, no doubt it was the best of all the cities we stayed in south East Asia. The hotel is a far away from Phuket town, for us was the perfect choice, we just wanted to relaxed and did not want to go out . The hotel has a shuttle to the center but the schedule to come back is very early. The hotel has all kind of restaurants so you dont get bored of the same every day, the Thai restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. My husband and I have travelled for many countries in America and Europe and we think Indigo Pearl is one of the best Hotels we have ever stayed. We would recommend it to all our friends.

Fabulous hotel - terrific for babies!

We took our 13 month old daughter to stay at the Indigo Pearl for an 8-night stay recently and had an absolutely fabulous time! We stayed in the Pearl Bed Room which suited our needs perfectly. We were originally going to stay in the Plantation Villa, but decided that extra interior space would be more suitable for us - too many bugs and too hot outside. The breakfast is amazing! Even 8 days in a row, the variety and quality of food made each breakfast delightful. We were a little concerned about getting food that our toddler could eat, but the breakfast buffet had many things she was able to eat. The pools at this hotel are great. There is a small wading pool for young kids. The staff are exceptional - extremely kind and very helpful. Our daughter received lots of gentle attention from the staff. The restaurants in the hotel are all terrific. Although we did eat at the cheaper places on the beach, we ate more meals at the various restaurants in the hotel and ordered from room service. Room service was often easier after our daughter fell asleep, but it was often a more attractive option as there were many different types of food (both Thai and western) on offer. Although it is true that the food on the hotel premises does cost more than the cheap places on the beach, the costs are reasonable and I think, less than many other resorts and the quality is very high. We were delighted with all aspects of our stay and plan to return again next year.

Pleasently surprised

Nice themed resort, very clean and well trained staff. Went with my wife and 2 adult children who enjoyed the selection of pools, entertainment and food. Only downside is the beach, too small and many local sales-people.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Don’t miss a one day tour to Phi Phi islands.

A wonderful stay, but......

We are on a round the world trip and were attracted by an out of season offer to stay here, including an upgrade to a private pool pavilion room. If you get the chance to stay in this room, it is fabulous. Your own plunge pool, sun loungers, and roomy stylish suite with excellent amenities. Overall the hotel, rooms, setting, facilities are out of this world. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful. The only thing that spoilt our time here was a very unfortunate intrusion into our room where some possessions were stolen. To be fair to the hotel manager and most of his staff, they reacted professionally and promptly to the situation with the attention and assistance you would expect.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

From our experience think twice before booking a ground floor room with a patio door as you can get a false sense of security. Certainly use the room safes, and don’t get complacent.

Very Impressive

Contemporary, newly constructed resort. Elegant villas, chic bars and restaurants. Of course, western prices. Low season is not the best time to go, slow service and hardly occupied. However thoughtful employees and excellent amenities. The one con is the beach is not on the resort. You must walk or take a shuttle. During the low season the beaches are not pretty to look at.

Amazing Modern Jem in the Jungle

If you are looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach then Nai Yang and the Indigo Pearl are the place for you. The hotel is amazing. It’s located in a quiet little town that really doesn’t offer much outside of the hotel. BUT that’s okay because the hotel has it all. The food is great (make sure to include breakfast in your package) the service is wonderful and to be honest you won’t want to leave your beautiful modern room. The staff is nice (though Elgish is limited) and they will help you with all of your travel needs. We had an amazing honeymoon and are already planning a return trip for next year. My only warning is that the rooms are a bit small (compared to American rooms) and there is limited space for suitcases.

Traveler's tip on dining

Check out Mr. Kobe’s. It’s a bar and resturant right outside of the hotel in the village of Nai Yang right on the beach. Bob and Mr. Kobe will treat you like family. The food is great, the drinks are cheap and you must introduce yourself to Lulu their dog. She was the only surviving dog of the 2004 Tsunami!

Top Phuket resort

Great design of the Pearl room, especially shower and balcony. Facilities offer wide variety for both active and passive vacationers. Location on Nai Yang beach very convenient and for sea swimming ... also for access to outside of resort options eg sea sport activities, beach front dining and massages. Staff were friendly and well trained and made the stay very enjoyable.

Wow! Best Hotel Experience Ever

This was the best hotel stay ever. I admit that I am only 29 and that I have stayed in economy hotels during most of my travels. However, this is a luxury hotel. They take care of all your needs. They pick you up from the hotel in a very nice van, and offer you drinks and towels for your hands. Then you get to to hotel and they wisk your bags to your room. Drinks and towels are again offered upon your arrival to the hotel. The infinity pool is AMAZING and deep (and there is an adults only pool as well). The breakfast is the BEST and there are are several places to eat at the hotel. Everything is modern and teh hotel has a faux-industrial feel. And you can walk out of the hotel to the beach and get the local feel as well. There is also a dive shop. They may charge a little more than booking directly from local dive shops, but you get the convenience of knowing that everything is taken care of. The one pit fall - it is VERY far away from Phuket, Patong Beach, etc. But that was okay for me, because Patong was kinda like a disgusting border town in Mexico. Finally, go eat at a local place called "Grandpa’s Place." It is like 5 minutes away, much cheaper than the hotel food and they have great traditional Thai food (and it isn’t full of tourists). Have fun in Phuket!!!!

Attention to Design is Amazing

This was a great hotel The attention to the tiniest detail is amazing. For lovers of art and architecture. The beds were beyond comfortable. I travel 150+ days a year and the pools were the most beautiful I have ever seen. Lush landscaping. Amazing breakfast. Attentive staff. Only downsides: a bit far from town, the beach is somewhat lacking, little drawer space for extended stays, hotel products (shampoo, etc) are not the best my far.

Anniversary Vacation

To say the Indigo Peral was an amazing stay is an understatement. It’s seclusion is everything you can ask for when not in the mood for distractions. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and will help with anything, from setting up transportation to planning trips. The onsite resturants were very fulfilling. If you never want to leave the grounds, believe me the hotel has everything you need; spa, bar and food etc. The hotel itself was very beautiful, my husband and I had a wonderful time on our anniversary thanks to the staff, we do plan to return.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

If your looking for excitement Patong is a ride away. Indigo Pearl is quite and peaceful when looking for rest. But Patong has the clubs, the beaches and anything else a tourist can ask for.

Ideal for a getaway

My husband and I recently stayed at the Indigo Pearl in Phuket for a few days at the tail end of a trip. It was exactly what we needed- lux, secluded, and good food. The staff was super attentive, the food was amazing (every option from poolside snacks to the fine dining restaurant was wonderful- a rarity for resort/hotels), and the grounds were immaculate. Added bonus was a state of the art fitness center (with yoga studio)and complete spa service. They even offer a Thai cooking class, but I didn’t get to that. Anytime you have staff bringing you cold towels and refreshing beverage to your beach or pool lounger...you have made a good choice. Indigo Pearl is a gem. A real piece of paradise.

Traveler's tip

This property is in a National Park and pretty secluded. Everything you need is on the grounds, but if you are looking for a party scene you may not be satisfied with your options. Patong and Karon are a car ride away. Also, we stayed during the green season (still plenty of sunshine each day) so the resort seemed a bit deserted. For us it was great, but if you are looking to bond with other patrons you may find the atmosphere lacking.

Wonderful People

We thought it was great. The only thing we were a little disapointed about is all the garbage. Not in the hotel area but the beaches, and on Phi Phi Island, In the Ocean. Its sad to see all the Litter.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Some of the activities were a little quaint. Such as the Water Buffalo encounter. It consisted of a ride in a small wagon, that went in a very small circle..

Wonderful Time in Paradise

My husband and I spent two weeks at the Indigo Pearl and simply loved it. We originally had planned to stay a week, but I had to have emergency surgery ( appendix removal) and was "forced" to stay an additional week to recuperate. Other than the obvious unpleasant medical procedure, our stay was wonderful. The hotel was so accommodating and we had no difficulty extending our stay. The hotel also arranged transportation to and from the hospital as well as re-booking our flights back to China. My husband’s birthday fell during our "extra" week and he was delighted by the surprise birthday cake and special treatment at the magnificent Thai restaurant. The whole resort is so beautiful and the architecture and design remarkable. We are definitely going to the Indigo Pearl again!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There are some great restaurants set up on the beach just outside of the Hotel and we enjoyed several feasts of unbelievably fresh King Prawn and crab. The hotel restaurants are marvelous but the beach cafes are a nice change. Also, we had some custom tailoring done using Thai silk and were delighted by the cost ( very reasonable) and the fit ( beautifully tailored).

A very impressive hotel!

This is a unique property in terms of concept and its implementation. It’s really well done and maintained top shape. The restaurants are great, the pools are magnificent, the gym could be a little bit bigger with more equipment tough, the rooms are very original! The only minor issue is staff inconsistency. Not everyone is on the same page there but again it’s not a crisis situation. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and will return!
