terrible, horrible, maybe even worse
Room smelled of smoke and must--it was labeled a non-smoking room. Refrigerator was broken. Someone else’s rotting food was left in the refrigerator. Chain lock for door was broken (chain was missing). Bathroom was run down and rusting in areas. Wake up call was 30 minutes late. Complimentary breakfast was minimal in the selection. All negative areas were brought to the attention of hotel staff and none were addressed or resolved.

It’s a Day’s Inn, not the Belagio
Having read 2 earlier reviews on this site I was apprehensive about staying here. I had recently spent a weekend in Decatur at a significantly more expensive hotel and was not overly impressed so I decided to give it a shot. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful, my room was small but very adequate; clean and in good repair. As i had booked in advance the management upgraded my room to one that included a micro fridge. I thought that was a nice touch. I would have liked to have had an iron and ironing board in the room. They were readily available at the desk, but if I had been on the second floor or further from the desk it would have been an inconvenience to trot back and forth securing and returning them. The location of the hotel is good for travelers with business on the west side of town and is easy to get into from the hiway. In all it was on a par with a Day’s Inn. Decent lodging at an affordable price.
