Comfort & Peace
After searching many hotels, we chose Cotton Bay Village for the quiet location and the amenities. The suite was very comfortable except for the sofa in the living room. It was also fully equipped and when we needed service, they were quick to help. As we arrived late in the evening and the restaurants were closed they brought us a complimentary plate with sandwiches, fruit and cookies, which was an added bonus. The only time that service was not up to par was a 30 minute wait for breakfast. We had to leave before it came as we had an appointment we couldnt miss. They didnt charge for it and were also quite apologetic. We remained hungry until 2. The beach was nice, it is on the Atlantic which makes it a little rougher, although it is within a very sheltered bay. I would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful, laid back
I wanted a quiet, low-key place to stay with a kitchen, on the beach, not in the crowds of Rodney Bay yet close enough to get there by taxi for restaurants and grocery. I really enjoyed Cotton Bay Village and would recommend it to those who do not need a lot of night life at the hotel. Also, as a female travelling alone I felt very safe there. I did not rent a car; took cabs everywhere which added up but worth it if you are not comfortable driving on the left side of the road or worried about getting lost. I might rent a car if I return. The hotel is on the Atlantic side of the island. The beach is nice although I was never at the hotel during the day and did not swim at the hotel beach.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
I recommend zip lining in the rain forest and going to Pigeon Island to walk around and hike up to the top of the hill on each side of the island for a panoramic view of the ocean. I snorkeled off the beach at a hotel near the base of the Pitons and saw a lot of fish. The island is beautiful and just driving around you will find the scenery breathtaking, especially if you drive to the Soufree area where the Pitons are.
