Great location, Friendly Staff
Great value and great location. The hotel is situation just off Via Medina, a short walk to the old Castle (we could see the castle from our room which also had a small balcony). Also short walk to via Toledo, the shopping strip which leads to Piazza Garibaldi. 5 mins. wak to marina Beverello. You can take the Alibus from the airport for 3 Euro & get off in front of the castle & walk to the hotel. There’s no hotel sign or hotel front. It’s on the 3rd floor, part of a residential & business building. You’ll need to look for the hotel number, there’s a small sign with a buzzer for Hotel Napolit Amo. Best way to recognise the hotel entrance are the huge wooden doors. Take the small life up to 3 where reception is. Room 509 had a lovely view on the 5th floor. Breakfast was good & included in the room price. Free internet. Janet was really nice & helpful - thank you! I’d definitely stay here again.
Traveler's tip on dining
Take the funicular up to the last stop (can’t remember the name of station). funicular is on Via Toledo, the shopping strip. look for Vinvertelli metro station, in the piazza there is a taverna called Taverna Vinvertelli. The Piazza & food was fantastic here, very authentic Italian, not touristy at all, but nice and friendly service even though no one speak english, we got on great!
