Nice place
At first i was a little wary after reading some of the other reviews, but once we got there we loved it. It was a nice room with a little kitchen and loved the fold down bed, it was comfy. Loved the full wall mirrors and double shower heads. Not a far walk to casinos and welcoming place to stay. Good for 2-3 people to stay.

Great Place in S. Lake Tahoe
We enjoyed our stay at Stardust and wished we could stay longer. The room was very clean. When the bed is pulled down, there is not a lot of room and the fridge made funky noises at times, but it didn’t matter too much. We took advantage of the free dvd rentals in the office and the wine glasses & cork screw in the room. There’s a grocery store, a movie theatre and restaurants within a short walking distance. The casinos are real close & so is shopping, for those interested.

Cheap Price for a Great Location
I was pleasantly surprised with the Stardust. First of all, it is in a great location; across the street from the Gondola, shops, coffee, movie theater, eats and 2 short blocks from the casino area. Situated right on Hwy 50, it is also walking distance to the lake, and easy to drive out to all the great hiking spots. Stardust has free bike rentals, free movies, tables in front of your kitchenette-like room, and even ’community’ events like ice cream and crafts. I would have given Stardust 5 stars if my bed had been comfortable. It creaked and groaned. But that problem may have just been in my room, since other rooms offered different types of beds.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Make sure to check out the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT). It travels approx. 165 miles around the lake and any part of it makes an excellent day hike.
