Would definitely go back

This was our first visit to TCI and we are so glad we picked the Somerset. We had a garden cottage where we could see the waves rolling in (in the distance--but still nice to see). We loved the full ktichen and did make use of it. There was a sprial staircase up to another sitting room which was a nice addition. Overall the unit was wonderful. We asked to see an oceanview suite and Javier was most helpful in providing information to us. The oceanview suite was also very nice and had a much better view (obviously). One benefit to the cottage is that it had 2 full baths whereas the oceanview suite had 1 1/2 baths. My husband and I did enjoy the 2 full baths as we both were able to shower at the same time after coming in from the beach. The beach at the Somerset is absolutely beautiful--we spent most of every day on the beach. Would definitely go back.

Great facility, No service.

The rooms, beach, pool are spectacular. However the only service, lunch and drinks at the pool, were severly lacking. The staff of 4-5 trying to service the 6 couples really struggled. They were more interested in waqtching TV and socializing than serving customers. There’s also no gift shop, sundries, nothing. I would recommend the Regent Palms next door.

When can we go back!

First - Turks and Caicos Islands are now our most favorite! Most of the time we had the gorgeous beaches to ourselves with only the occasional interloper. The only crowds were down the beach at Beaches and they stayed there. Everything you could want to do is available but do nothing is a great option here on the calm, clean beachs. Second - The Somerset was excellent. We only saw our room - 205 - but it was like moving into a home. Great service, clean and sparkly. The O’Soleil restaurant was excellent - we stuck to seafood dishes, hey, you are in the Caribbean! One caution - we sat on the beach watching meteors one night and got eaten alive by sand fleas!
