Oaks Residence- Auckland
Upon arrival I was greeted by a professional and helpful staff. The room itself proved to be clean and comfortable room with a modern aesthetic design. Rather than a hotel, Oak Residences is actually an apartment complex. Thus, rented rooms come with a full kitchen, including dinnerware, a washing machine and a dryer. The only drawback to this is the lack of maid service during stays. I found Oaks Residences to be conveniently located central Auckland. It is within two blocks of the cities public transportation hub and is also on the airport bus line. Furthermore, it is within walking distance of the sky city entertainment complex and a large, 24 hour grocery store. My one criticism is that the hotel is located on a street that looks unwelcoming. However, after much exploration, I found the street, and its surrounding neighborhood, to be quite safe. Based on this information I feel that Oak Residences is great hotel.

Save money by cooking in the room. Buy groceries at the nearby supermarket, NOT at a convenience store.
