Think twice

Booked a package deal. At hotel they didn’t have it in their system. 1st room was not satisfactory. 2nd room was the same as the 1st but I was too tired to move again. Compensated with a $45 food credit. Used it for breakfast room service. Belgium waffles were served without the fruit compote. When they did send up the compote it was fermented. No charge for the room service, but hey what did they lose in the first place?! This is the closest hotel to where my family lives, however, I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

Not Impressed

I normally stay at other hotel chains, but decided to rty something new. Based on reviews and general hotel info it looked like a nice place to stay...Wrong! The first room we were given had stained up carpet and generally very poorly maintained. We requested a different room with a mini bar and this room was not much better. The mini bar cabinet and insides had obviously not been cleaned for quite a while. The carpet was also stained, wall paper tearing in places and linens were not very nice. The main problem was the poor air quality...there seemed to be a lot of dust blowing in when the air/heat came on. The rooms are pretty outdated and need a maintenance overhaul! I would never stay at this hotel chain again.

Wonderful Return Visit

This was my second stay at Loews-Denver and I enjoyed both visits. The staff is friendly and responsive. The decor of the hotel is classic with an air of comfort. The Tuscany resturant has excellent food and service.(They also handle your room service orders.) I will probably stay there again on my next trip to Denver.

Elegant

Hotel was sparkling clean and elegant. Personnel was helpful and courteous. TV was a nice flat screen. Our daily food credit was equivalent to a complimentary breakfast. Outdoor parking is free and convenient and gated. Valet was available but not necessary. There is no pool or hot tub.

Traveler's tip on dining

A nice Italian restaurant is next door but was out of commission during our stay. Other chain restaurants were within several a blocks.

Close proximity for shopping and dining

Pretty hotel, located near where my son lives, very close to the Cherry Creek Shopping District. Comfortable beds. Did not use too many of the hotels amenities due to day trips with my son, but everyone was kind and curteous.

The free car service for local trips WAS GREAT and unexpected, he even picked us up. The car was clean, the driver friendly and it made our business trip easier. It was so great we probably tipped him more than we would have paid in taxis. The hotel was great also.

This was my first trip to Denver and I was shocked at how far the airport was from town. Book a car service prior to your trip to avoid the $65 cab.

A getaway visit to Denver

Easily arrived using directions provided by the hotel website. Close enough to highway exit for easy location but far enough away to not be part of the landscape. Lovely entrance atrium and warm welcome, easy registration, concierge incredibly helpful and room and valet service was impeccable. Tried out the dining room for breakfast and bar for after dinner drink and found the service excellent. Great little exercise room included cold water with sliced lemons and moistened, cooled towels for exercise wipe-off. Room was utterly quiet with a great view of the Rockies, King sized bed, large screen HDTV and plenty of room to unpack. Really added to our weekend of eating, shopping and relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

The concierge was very helpful with providing directions to out of the way dining destinations we had researched. Encourage others to use his services.

Great place to stay.

We have stayed at the Denver Loew’s before. The hotel is very nice and we would stay there again. The only drawback to our room was that the walls between the rooms are very thin as you can here the conversations in the room next door. The other drawback was lack of air circulation in the rooms. We are use to having air flow and there was very little. Otherwise the room itself was very comfortable and the staff was very pleasant and eager to help in any way.

We needed to be in the Cherry Creek/Colorado Boulevard area for family activities, and we chose the Loew’s Denver because of that. We were very happy with our choice. We do not like to pay for valet parking and tipping especially when we have to be in and out with car quite a bit. Being able to self-park was a real plus. But we were also happy with the level of service and the food in restaurant and the comfort of our room. The view of the mountains was an extra treat. Some reviewers are not happy with the location of the hotel and true, it is not in a walkable part of town. But it was perfect for us and we would stay there again.

Staff challenges

The hotel staff first checked us into an occupied room. The cleaning crew knocked on our door at 8:00 AM on a Saturday morning. It seemed to me they needed more training!

One of Denver’s Best Hotels

Convenient to downtown but also to the highways so I could move about with my family when I was not working. When I was going downtown to meetings, I just dropped them at the Zoo and then drove a few minutes to downtown. A few minutes longer to Boulder to see my son, but all highway.

For a hotel that calims to be recently refurbished, it must have been a heck of a democratic convention to get the rooms to look so worn. Both non-smoking rooms we were given reeked of smoke-- were on the floor next to all the meeting rooms so no chance to sleep in because of the staff noise. Front desk staff wnet out of their way NOT to be friendly and were less than helpful-- in fact seemed irritated when we asked to me moved to a room that did not smell like a bar. I have a daughter in Denver and will never darken these doorways again.

They gave our kids toys at check in and the restuarant manager was very accomadating to our family!

Wonderful Place to Stay

The staff at this hotel is wonderful. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. It is a great place to stay if you have pets. It is very clean and quite beautiful. The rooms are a nice size and quite comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Denver. They have a great complimentary shuttle service to downtown and surounding areas that they offer.

Easy access

Loew’s mixed up our arrival and departure dates, but worked it out. This has happened before when we’ve used Expedia to book there. The staff did correct the dates quickly without extra charges.

Favorite Denver Hotel

A wonderful hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable,with mnay extras that are great for business travelers. Enjoyed a special dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Great place to stay

Accommodations were perfectly clean and comfortable, location was convenient, and hotel personnel were polite, professional, helpful, and friendly. The sink in the bathroom needed repair, some of the tiles in the shower were coming loose, and the lights in the room were too dim for these eyes. Had I stayed longer I’m sure hotel personnel would have addressed these problems. I especially appreciated the guest privileges at the nearby fitness center.

A diamond in the rough

We have stayed at Loew’s Denver about 5 times in the past 5-6 years. We love the stellar service, convenient location and intimate resturant and lounge. Don’t let the modern stark looking exterior fool you, the accommidations are comfy-cozy laced with elegance. We typically stay Thursday- Monday so we look forward to the happy hour(with music)in the lounge, cookies and punch in the late afternoons, the calmer relaxed weekend with Sunday brunch as the highlight. I love the in-room robes that are provided and the beds are great! The staff and and drivers always remember our names and we never hear NO for any request. Close to Cherry Creek with great shopping and resturants and quick access to I-25 and downtown you can’t match this place !!!
