Great motel - Lone Star Rally
We attended the Lone Star motorcycle rally and stayed at Moody Gardens Motel. The staff was very pleasant and check in was perfect with expedia arrangements. The Lynyrd Skynryd concert at the gardens outdoor theater was a blast and so convenient to just walk from the motel. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for hassel free stay during a crazy time in Galveston. I’m sure that weekend was a full sell out with 200,000 motorcycles on the island.

An Excellent Choice!
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and the shuttle to all the attractions around Moody Gardens made it easy to pack in a lot of activities over the weekend. The hotel is very kid-friendly and even had a fun jump set up for the kids. We were a little disappointed with the restaurant- the morning buffet was good, but lunch and dinner were not the quality we expected for the price. But this wouldn’t keep us from going back - overall it was one of the best hotels stays we’ve had.
the indoor heated schlitterban park at moody garden’s was awesome!! it was off-season in October, so it wasn’t crowded at all!
