Service was great!

It’s across the street from my father’s house which made it very convenient when we all came in for a funeral. Due to circumstances, I was not able to use many of the amenities. Bed was very comfortable. Location and view was outstanding. Due to the heavy winds, the hot tub was a little dirty from blowing debris, but that was understandable. Blood Orange Margarita’s were fantastic!

This hotel is excellent in every way. You must stay here to appreciate the wonderful way you are pampered! Absolutely wonderful resort!

Perfect romantic gettaway

Great service, beautiful, well kept hotel. Safe enviroment, nice pool, huge spa, beach front. Full service restaurant and bar. Food is very good.

LOVED The Shores Resort and Spa! Hotel is right on the beach and has an awesome pool where you can lounge and look out at the beach. The spa is fabulous! I would highly recommend booking a week at The Shores...you won’t be sorry (until you have to go back home, that is)!

Book services at the spa, especially pedicures and hot stone massages. They are both wonderful!

Daytona Beach’s Best Hotel, A+++++++++++++++

This beachfront Hotel is awesome...... CLEAN!!! SERVICE!!! COMFORT!!! CONVENIENCE!!! This hotel exceeded all my expectations. We were extremely happy with our stay. Valet was awesome. Got my car real fast every day. Staff was ALWAYS FRIENDLY. We didn’t have 1 bad experience. We have stayed at many great hotels like the Wynn, MGM Signature, Mandalay Bay THE HOTEL, and even 6 star hotels in Hong Kong......THE SHORES really shined. We enjoyed our stay very much. We had drinks at the fire pit, their Tiki hut bar, it was only a minute to go down the stairs to the beach and swim in the ocean, the heated pool was so nice, just a relaxing, clean, friendly hotel. Excellent drinks by the way. Oh, and the Shower pressure in the bathroom was incredible. We had the partial ocean view but the view from our room was beautiful and we even kept the balcony door open at night to sleep to the ocean sound. Plasma Tv, Fast Internet. A+++++++++ Highly Recommended

Wonderful Hotel with Old World Charm

The Shores Resort is a very special place to stay especially with young children. The room was very large with a hugh walkin closet. Staff was courteous and super helpful. We especially liked the restaurant, the food was great and the children’s menu was the best we’ve seen. Plus the added pleasure of a very nice spa. Affordable, clean with a pool and beach. We couldn’t have asked for a more special long weekend. Perfect spot for a family get away!!

Very family friendly, enjoy the barbeque pit by making smores in the evening with the kids!

Can’t wait to go back

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and the cleaning staff did an excellent job considering the sand from the beach, etc. The dining was great, would like to have known that there were two menus available, one was littier fare while the other was more gourmet style, but still enjoyed it all. We are planning another trip back.

Very relaxing place

The Hotel has a very relaxing feel to it. We enjoyed our many days at the pool and beach. The pool provided towels which was nice to have, seeings as we did not pack towels for our trip. The have pool side service which was also nice to have. I would recomend this particular hotel to anyone who wants a nice hotel.

Great service, great room

Had a wonderful vacation at the Shores. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. I paid the upgrade price for the King bed with the balcony(beach side view)and Im here to tell you the sunrises and sunsets were stunning. Enjoyed sitting around the little fire pit they lit every night by the pool and Tiki bar. Had breakfast and lunch at the restaurant and it was good but a little pricey. There is a great restaurant 5 miles away called Aunt Catfish or something like that. Ask the front desk they will give you a card with the info on it.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Visit the Daytona speed way if your into that. Im not a big fan but had a blast. You get a discount if you want to ride in a race car with paid admission to the facility but you need to pay there. If you pay at the track you wont get the discount. It will save you about $40.

Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay here for one night when we had to travel to Florida for a funeral. Unfortunate circumstances made much better by the beauty and comfort of this hotel. Room was clean with an excellent view, updated and comfortable. Wish we had our kids with us, they would have loved being right on the beach. Definitely choose this hotel!

Hope next time is better

I stayed at this hotel prior and it was much better. This time there was no cotton balls, swabs and they did not replace the soaps on the second day. They left the same soap. The room we got with an ocean view was on the 2nd floor and not what I was expecting for ocean view. I was visiting family and was busy spending time out of the room. Only came in to change, rest and get going. After I told front desk about no cotton balls or swabs it was still not placed in room.

Try the ice cream from Cow Licks it is home made and great. Eating outside the hotel is better. did not care for their food.

This is four star?

When we checked in everything appeared to be fine with the hotel. We arrive at our room and the bathroom was filthy. We called down to request a cleaning and left for the day. When we returned, the bathroom remained filthy and there was a wedding party in progress at 12AM -- the pounding on the floor above and the music could easily be heard in our room. We called down and received no assistance (again) from the night clerk. We would not stay here again and would not recommend the hotel, especially for the money.

Daytona’s best hotel

would go back in a second, bueatiful location, the hotel was very clean and updated, the service was good, the beach outstanding! the resturant was very good for breakfast and lunch, we didn’t stay for dinner any night went out for dinner everynight.the pool could be cleaner is the only dark spot of the trip.

We had a wonderful time, everyone was very professional, caring and went out of their way to help, answer questions and just really tend to your needs, no matter what they may be. The spa was just great. 5 plus stars

Great Getaway!

Excellent hotel with fantastic amenities. Fresh decor in rooms. Hotel was renovated a few years ago. Only slight drawback was the pool. Kind of small for the size of the hotel. For Daytona Beach area this is one the nicest hotels you can find.

Holy Cow!

We went here on our honeymoon and had the best time ever! Lots of places to go and site see, lots of places to eat, and lots of nice people! Our room was wonderful and was always cleaned when we asked it to be. The shower was a little weird b/c it didn’t have a door. Everything in the room was high end quality stuff and the bed was so comfy! We had a couples spa together and really enjoyed it! The pool was really pretty, but it was like swimming in bath water. Lots of really nice people at the hotel and superb service! We will definitely come back!

There is a wonderful light house about 10 mins from the hotel. Don’t worry about the all inclusive, there are so many restaurants to choose from. The spa is so wonderful. I would suggest trying the snow crab legs, man oh man they are good!

If you’re going to Daytona.....definitely stay here

I have found these traveler reviews to be very helpful and accurate so I couldn’t wait to share my own review about the Shores. The service was exceptional, staff from the front desk to room service to azure waitstaff to housekeeping were geniunely friendly. Pay the extra expense for the upgraded king size bed w/ front ocean view...watching the sunrise on the balcony with coffee in hand was well worth it. And the beds....WOW...VERY soft; the best nights rest my wife and I have had in ages. This hotel is perfect for business travelers, older couples, or couples looking for a romantic getaway. It’s far enough away from the busy strip but just a short drive there to enjoy some shopping and siteseeing. Couldn’t recommend good dining in the area because the hotel’s restaurant dining was so fantastic we rarely ate anywhere else in the five days we were there. As frequent travelers, The Shores definitely rates as one of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed in. We’ll definitely be back.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Spend the extra money and rent the jet skis at a place called Short Money Rentals in the Ponce Inlet. Great service there as well and lots of fun and reasonable rates.

Weekend at the Shores

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at The Shores to celebrate our anniversary. It was one of the most relaxing environments we have been exposed to in years. The room was very clean with a soft king sized bed and excellent beach front view. Room service and maid service were courteous and timely. The restaurant, lounge and pool deck were all beautiful and the staff very friendly. We will definitely visit there again.

Exceeded Expectations

Do not be fooled by the exterior, this hotel is beautiful on the inside. We went for a day at the beach and a place to crash and we were pleasantly surprised. The lobby and rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The service by the valet and lobby staff were exceptional. The pool area is nice, however, it does not compare to a brand new resort. Although there is really no reason to spend too much time at the pool because the beach is beautiful. My only critique would be to enhance the service at the pool. We were left to find the towel station as the pool staff does not greet and seat you when you enter the pool area. Also, they did not have pool side service which would have definitely encouraged us to spend more at their restaurant and bar. Also, it is a few miles from some of the action on Daytona Bach which we found to be enjoyable because the beach was not too crowded. Restaurants and shops were just a short ride away. Overall, it was an EXCEPTIONAL VALUE. I have stayed at roadside motels for higher rates. This place is truly a bargain and the rooms were very nice.

Spring Break with Family

The Shores Resort is a wonderful place to stay! The staff was friendly, helpful, and cared to do a good job. You should be prepared to pay the resort fee of $15 a day, which includes wireless internet and parking in a lot across the street. For an extra $7 a day, the valet service is well worth it. The hotel is away from the strip, which is good and bad. Good because the beach is not overly crowded and you are on the beach. Bad because you need to drive to stores, activities, and areas with lots of people. The hotel is very pet friendly and the staff was helpful and happy to see our pets. My family really loved our stay and we recommend for other families.

King’s Seafood Under the Bridge, Aunt Katfish’s, and the Lighthouse Restaurant all were great. I recommend calling ahead on the first two because the word is out and wait times could be long. Aunt Katfish’s takes reservations and call ahead seating.
