Ill not go back to this hotel
Terrible experience at check in time with a very rude clerk at the the front desk. They had a very bad discomposed odor by the elevators (which had to be used several times a day)
Traveler's tip on nightlife
I highly recommend El Bandido Restaurant in Downtown Zihuatanejo. Very good service, classy, good music, great dance floor & excellent food. The best.

Summer vacation 2009
I took my family to the Krystal, after 7 yrs in this town. Ive always loved this location, not too crowded, not too popular. The hotel is not premium luxury category, but has one of the best locations in town: you can reach it on foot if you arrive by bus from other cities, and you have a commercial-restaurants, also within walking distance. Breakfast buffet is great, and the view from the top floors are incredible!
We chose to arrive by bus from Mexico City, for $900 pesos per person in the luxury bus.

Nice people, good service, but hotel is run down
The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. The pool area is awesome and looks like has been upgraded recently. The hotel itself, though, including the rooms are pretty run down. Our hotel room AC made the room very humid, for some reason. The bathrooms, especially the tub, was pretty gross. I wouldnt stay here again for the price.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Get out of the hotel and eat locally in the little downtown area. Breakfast and lunch are downright cheap and tasty at some of the mom-n-pop shops and restaurants we checked out.
