Great hotel with a wonderful location
Hotel Cerna Liska is a nice quaint hotel with a wonderful location in the main Square in Prague. Many sites and shops are only a few blocks away and others are within walking distance. The staff was excellent- had to leave at 6 AM for the airport and they had breakfast packed up and ready to go for us. Would definately stay here again!

Great location, staff needs some work on customer service
The hotel is in the perfect location, and my room had a fantastic view. Really beautiful and classic rooms. Hotel was great in many ways. They also honored my request to give me a room with a view of the square. One big problem to me, they gave me absolutely no grace period on the 11 AM checkout. Maybe this is a Czech thing and others tell me they have experienced this elsewhere, but having stayed in 100 hotels or so, I have always found hotels would give you at least 1 hour grace period and sometimes more. I had a bit of a problem the night before and was up really late, so I slept in a bit and needed a bit more time. They gave me 10 minutes and were pretty rude about it. Certain people that work there are good, and some are not. The women on Monday morning was not friendly. This kind of tarnished my view of the hotel.

Excellent saty, Excellent Location
Terrific location right on Old Town Square. Helpful staff & good breakfast. Had heard that it might be noisy (given the popular location) but did not have any problems with both windows shut.

Cerna Liska
I highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect - as central as you can get with amazing views of the Old Town Square from the rooms, and yet the windows are thick enough that the room was still very quiet. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was much better than what Ive usually seen at European hotels. The only complaint I have is a very, very minor one - the frames of the beds. The legs stick out in such a way that if you arent careful youll bang your toes & knees on them (me & my friend both did it more than once). So - definitely stay here! Just watch your step around the beds. :)

Amazing location!
The Cerna Liska is a pretty average hotel, however you will not believe the location for the price. It is literally located in Old Town Square with a stunning view of the Tyn Church! The breakfast is good with deli fixings, bread, eggs and bacon. The staff is very helpful and fluent in English.

Great location
This small hotel is literally on Old Town Square. Easy walk to Charles Bridge, Jewish Qtr, and a metro stop. Some may be concerned about noise level from the action on the square, but it did not bother us. So cool to look across the square at lighted Tyn Church at night. Included breakfast was a full breakfast w/ several choices.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Ask for room overlooking Old Town Sq.--dont think all do. Or some may prefer not to be on square and could request same.

Loved this hotel!
Our room looked out over a beautiful view of the Old Town Square. It was spacious, nicely appointed and well kept. Since I am a smoker, I loved having windows that could be opened to let in the fresh air. All staff were friendly, very helpful and efficient. The breakfast buffet was extensive and would satisfy any taste. I am looking forward to another trip to Prague, and will definitely choose this hotel again.

great location, but rude, rude, rude.
Katerina was one of the rudest, unfriendly and unhelpful people we have ever encountered in all of our travels. She was surly and seemed to enjoy telling us that there were no rooms with views available. I then asked for the highest room she had and she said there was only a room on the 2nd floor - yet she gave our friend a room on the 3rd floor - and we all arrived at the same time! The rooms are actually much cuter once you get used to the dismal cast of the fluourescent lighting. At first we thought it was dirty, but it was actually very clean, tho a bit sparce. its not cozy but it could be with the fantastic frescoes on the wood ceilings. Furniture was cheap, but the place is right on the square in Old Town, so for the price you cant beat it. All the rooms do not have great views, but we did not find it loud at all, unlike some of the reviews I read. There is a really cute restaurant downstairs and, as we were traveling with friends who were staying all over Prague, it was a glorious meeting place. I heard the food was really good, but we got up too late to make the breakfast. There were lots of other cute places to stay right off the square, so not sure if we would go back - unless they guaranteed us a great view of the square.

Great location
The hotel is well positioned for visiting Pragues many attractions on foot. Staff were very helpful, (for example on our departure date, they arranged a fixed price taxi for us to travel to the railway station which was about half the price of the fare we paid on arrival) and conversed well in English. The breakfast spread was more than adequate and there was always a large platter of fresh fruit - including strawberries.
Traveler's tip
Prague has become a popular destination with large crowds at tourist attractions including the Charles Bridge and sadly prices have risen accordingly. Be aware of overcharging by taxi drivers.

Highly recommeded
Terrific view of the plaza. Room had foyer, very ample wardrobe space, a large room with high celings, and three hugh windows. Very impressive for a building that is hundreds of years old. Full English breakfast also included, as well as free use of computer in lobby. All with no extra charges, and walking distance to everything. This location made our stay just super.
Traveler's tip on dining
About a block off the square, on Celetna Street, is a terrific restaurant with a group that plays Gypsy music on violins, base fiddle and acoustic guitar. Name a tune, and they will play it. If you dont know the name, just humm it, and they will play it. Wonderful evening with wonderfull people. A grest time for all.

Great location!
Cerna Liska Hotel is delightful and right on the Old City Square within walking distance of museums, restaurants and the subway/trolley and bus in case you want to go farther afield. The air conditioning is not great but I understand it isnt great at the Hilton either.

Highly recommended
Delightful, totally renovated small hotel right on the Old Town Square - honestly you couldnt imagine a more perfect location or better value for money. Sadly I wasnt able to get a room with a view of the square, but the room itself and bathroom were immaculate, with TV, minibar, comfortable bed and FREE INTERNET - wired in the rooms (they have cables) and wireless in the lobby. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was free & excellent.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Just wander the streets of Prague at random - everywhere you go, youll see the most beautiful buildings and then sit in the square with a beer, chill out and just watch people go by.

Cant beat the location
The location of the hotel was ideal - right on Old Town Square in the middle of everything, yet seemed quaint and authentic. A couple of minor cleanliness issues in the room, but not enough to spoil our stay.
Traveler's tip on dining
Great dinner experience at the Architect Club - great vegetarian menu in a super cool environment.

Quaint, conveniently located hotel
This hotel was right on Old Town Square around the corner from the Astronomical Clock, so it was conveniently located and easy to walk to all the sites of Prague. The interior was very quaint with an old-style look. The staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was included.

Perfect location and lovely hotel
This lovely hotel has only 17 rooms. Each room is rather large for a European hotel and quite charming. The staff was helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the castle, charles bridge, old town square, and the Jewish quarter.. all are on the doorstep of the hotel. If you keep your windows open at night, it can be loud with student goups coming home from bars.
