Perfect Location!!!
Stayed 4 nights here as our first stop in italy. This is a WONDERFUL place to stay - you are within walking distance of almost everything!!! The Campo di Fiore is so much fun all the time from markets in the morning to the cafes and bars at night....piazza navonna just a few blocks away....easy walk to ancient sites/vatican city/trevi fountain etc etc.. we stayed in the annex building which was fine - just be warned there are quite a few steep stairs......make sure you are in the main hotel if that is an issue
Traveler's tip on dining
make sure to eat at the trattoria de pallaro right next to hotel - no menu - they will bring out what they are serving - 4 courses - very reasonable - outstanding!! also if you get homesick there is a great bar 2 blocks off piazza navonna on via tor millina called Botticella - owned by a Pittsburg fan - Giovanni

Great location and facility
We stayed at Hotel Teatro di Pompeo on a recent trip to Rome with another couple. Our rooms were in the annex, which has no elevator, but offers more a feeling of living in a small apartment than the main hotel. Breakfast, amid the ruins of the theater, offers a nice buffet, and the location of the hotel is excellent. Hotel staff are very accommodating, and helpful with whatever information you might need about dining options, touring, etc. Having been to Rome before, this is my new favorite hotel!

Great day reception
The Teatro di Pompeo was very difficult to find. We took a taxi from the station and the driver had to pull over and consult his Rome Street guide to find it.(Was that the hotel or the taxi driver, who knows) Once we got there the day reception manager took excellent care of us. Our bags were stored and watched until we could get into the room. As we were still out and about, he arranged to have @ 5 bags taken up to our room. The room as very large and clean. The bath was also clean with an unlimited supply of hot water. Wake up calls were on time. The drive to take us to the airport was set up by reception and very professional. The location was great. It was central to all areas of Rome. There is a wonderful little covered alleyway right into the Campo di Fiori. We would stay there again.
