Surprisingly Nice
Great location, very nice rooms, large (2 rooms), quiet, and quality coffee in the AM. Next door is a great restaurant -- terrific appetizers and not too expensive. Overall -- very pleasant surprise.

Beautiful
We loved the mix of modern furnishings with old crown molding and doors. It was the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in (including my own at home). Helpful staff. Loved the clock radio with iPod docking station and the sizable shower. If I had been there on business I would have been impressed with the ample desk space. Within walking distance of lots of great places. Parking a bit pricey, but not unheard of in San Francisco.
Traveler's tip on dining
The hotel recommends a place called Brendas French Soul Food for breakfast if you dont mind a walk. Its delicious. Just remember youre walking through the Tenderloin--not the safest neighborhood--and sign up on the clip board on the door dont wait for them to come out and take your name. Dont worry about the wait--its pretty tasty. Try the gumbo and/or the grits.
