Best in Prague
It was an outstanding place to stay. Everything was top notch throughout the whole hotel. Customere service, cant ask for any better. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Location and access to old town was very close. Would stay no where else in Prague.

Great Customer Service
I wanted to compliment the great customer service at the reception/front desk at Clarion Prague Old Town. The woman on duty Monday evening Sep 21 went to great lengths to help me obtain honest transportation from the Train Station to the hotel upon our arrival. Be careful as the taxi drivers at the train station try to con unsuspecting tourists with excessive taxi fares. More importantly, I wanted to compliment Franzitek who did a superb job in locating a wheelchair for my wife who broke her foot the previous day while on vacation in Budapest. The hotel internet service was not working and he personally called numerous orthopedic offices to find us a wheelchair. He also arranged the transportation to take me to the office to pick up the wheelchair and explain all the necessary details as I do not speak Czech. I am so grateful for his assistance!!! The wheelchair gave us the opportunity to see all the sights we had hoped to visit during our Prague vacation. I dont know what we would have done for 3 days in Prague without the wheelchair. Also our room was at the end of the floor and was unsuaully large and spacious. Very nice, clean and well-maintained. Ive seen some less satisfactory reviews for this hotel, but our stay in September 2009 was a very pleasant experience.
Traveler's tip
Be aware our the crooked taxi drivers that prey on unsusepcting travelers at the train stations. Walk out the station, through the park, cross the street and locate a taxi. Better yet, call one to pick you up. During our stay, I had at least 4 conversations with travelers who had been conned by taxi drivers charging 5 times the rate. You can go anywhere within the Old Town for less than 200 krown ($10).

We were impressed and would go back.
The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Having air conditioning was a real plus. We had a balcony room which overlooked the Vltava River that offered a lovely place to relax. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of food although I would have liked to have a toaster available.
Traveler's tip
The hotel is within a few blocks of the tram and metro stops so getting anywhere around town is easy and convenient. If you walk there are many restaurants in the area, and Old Town Square is only 10 minutes away. We did not meet many people who speak English. Most clerks and waiters can take your order with no problem but dont speak English well enough to carry on a conversation or answer additional questions.
