Wow
This was my first time in China. I could not have picked a better hotel! Staff were friendly even thought I don’t speak a word of Chinese, and the room was very comfortable. The buffet was just awesome.

Incredible!
This is one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. Brand new, with quality rooms, upscale linens, fantastic views over all of downtown Chengdu, fine food, a good bar, great lounge, and very competent and hospitable staff. Throw in the superior spa and great location and you have a winner.

Brand New
The hotel was beautiful and every hotel employee was kind and helpfull. The concierge in particular was wonderful, directing us to a great spot for "Hot Pot" a special local food. Then making sure we arrived at the Stadium well in time for our world cup football game. The spa was also great although it will be better once construction is over. A calming facial is not so calm with jackhamers going in the background. The rooms are beautiful and only time will tell if they are well maintained. The food is good and to western tastes but twice what we ordered arrived cold or just warm, I think with time this will improve. The location is good and it is easy to travel within the city from the hotel. I would recomend this hotel to both business and leisure travelers.
Traveler's tip on dining
Trust the Hotel to know of a good local place to eat where you will be comfortable and eat well prepared food, if you are a bit more brave just ask a local to recomend a place.. this also worked well for us. If you start to miss home or just want a bit of europe... go to The Shamrock, the concierge has a card. Its an Irish Pub in the middle of the city and is walkable if you don’t mind puting some miles on your shoes. They show football (Soccer) and rugby matches every day.
