Completely adequate
This hotel is clean and comfortable, but it is not what I would consider a "nice place." The fixtures and bedding are of standard quality. However, it is in a convenient location next to the highway and many dining options. If I had to stay in Norman again, I wouldnt mind staying there. But I wouldnt get real excited about it. Its a clean, safe and convenient place to get a decent night of sleep. Its not cozy or romantic in any way.

We Were Insulted
Wed been looking forward to our first stay in this hotel, but at check-in things fell apart. We were told we had to have a credit card number on file. Usually our reservations through Expedia work flawlessly. We show up at the hotel and are cheerfully given our keys. Not so this time. When we asked why they needed our card number on a prepaid room, we were told its because we might sneak in a pet or smoke in our room (we did neither), and if we did they would deduct a $200 fee from said card. When we explained we were uncomfortable because our credit card number was stolen a couple of years ago at a different hotel, we were told they would have to turn us away. After more pleading, even offering a cash deposit, and getting absolutely nowhere, and being exhausted after a long journey we relented and gave them our credit card which they imprinted on a sheet of paper and left sitting in a bin at their front desk for anyone to grab. We were less than pleased. Plus their fake wood floor in the lobby creaked and crackled underfoot. And, if you have perfume allergies, call ahead so they can air out your room - very strong scent. Also, after dinner out, we discovered that their side security door was malfunctioning (it wouldnt open with our key), so we had to walk around to the front and put up with more crackling and creaking. Other than that, our room was clean, quiet and comfortable - we were just too upset to really enjoy it.

Excellent experience
The continental breakfast had lots of variety and always ready on time. The staff was very helpful for local information about dining & stores. The location was central for many restaurants & shopping but yet quiet. Rooms were very clean & roomy. Great experience.
