Excellent base in Praha

Smooth check in after not so smooth limo pick up at airport.(Expedia please note) Room reasonable size in the roof with 2 windows, views of the sky ! Breakfast excellent as was service. Dinner twice, not disappointed, very well priced if you avoid wine & stick to beer, hanger steak was excellent & truly medium rare. Bar was a little small but barman made up for it. Location was excellent, we walked everywhere ! Also, don’t forget to use the stairs to get a full appreciation of the decor.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

go to Wenceslas Square for lunch for 2 on sausage, mustard & bread Euro 2 & then try Praha ham cooked on the spit, Euro3 for a slab of ham, more mustard & bread. Finish off with beer or a McCafe coffee. Make up for the lack of veggies later, not such a popular food group in Czechi !Rejuvenated with carbs & protein we walked to the Fred & Ginger building on the river & back to the hotel.

Magnificent Hotel in Prague

WOW Unbelievable hotel in Prague. How lucky we were to find this one also on Expedia. Thanks Expedia and for the people with the awesome compliments. The decor and the class of the hotel is 5 stars all the way. We were lucky to get breakfast included and the restaurant on the premises blew me away. Not only was the food incredible and not expensive because we ate their for dinner one night but it felt like you were eating in the most classiest place ever. If you go inside and look at the wall and ceiling. WOW. This is the same wow everywhere in the hotel. All renovated 1st class ART DECO. The conceirge was very helpful and the hotel just made the whole trip that much better. After a beautiful day out to come back to a luxurious hotel like this is too much for words.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Everything is in walking distance and one day we jumped on a trolley and it took us over to the castle district. We were fortunate to be there in April when President Obama was speaking there. Just made the trip all that much better. The square is a great place to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and just see the beauty of this city.

4 Star Hotel

We believe that the hotel needs to make it clear that its a 4 star hotel. The service is not bad, and the breakfast is wonderful, but since the hotel is a very old building, u’ll smell a strange smell as u enter the building, the elevator and specially the room.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Hotel’s restaurant is pretty good and reasonable.

Glad to have stayed there

Keeping in mind that the standards for hotels in the US and in Europe are different (Europe having lower standards). I enjoyed this hotel. The pictures make the hotel lobby look bigger, but it really is a small, cozy hotel. The rooms are clean, well appointed, with many amenities like surround sound in the bathroom. The Imperial cafe is a hit with the locals, which also speaks of how good it is. Would absolutely stay there again. It is very close to all the main attractions, within walking distance to everything.

Traveler's tip

When in Prague, take good walking shoes, the streets in the whole town are cobble stone.

Charmed and Surprised

from the moment we arrived the hotel was extremely accommodating dating. We were two women celebrating a major birthday. Rooms were adjourning.Breakfast was very good. THeir is only one buffet and I was confused as to why when you book there are two options. We wanted a good hair salon and the girl behind the desk directed us perfectly. Their restaurant recommendations were perfect as well. Prague is on the crown not the Euro so everything is still very reasonable for Europe standards. Prague is a wonderful walking town. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk off the main square and their is a tram right in front. good location and I have already recommended it to a couple who booked!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Redute the JAzz Club, try a casino, walk, walk, walk, Royal Castle, the jewish quarter besides the must see synagogues is the best neighborhood for new galleries and restaurants.

Traditional and modern

Newly opened hotel taking advantage of traditiional building provides a good mixture of tradition and modern comfort. Having breakfast surrounded by art-deco interior became my fun during my stay.

gem in the heart of Prague

Very clean and up to date. A small boutique hotel. Top notch full breakfast buffet in stylish restaurant.. Free computers in business area for internet usage. Cozy bar area. Bathrooms were small with one sink. Nearby metro stations if you want to try...very easy to use. Charles Bridge and main attractions are a fair walk away.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Walk or take the subways. not hard to figure out and there very clean, safe. Have tourist guide or concierge explain. You can get an unlimited one - three day pass. Hailing a cab is a prescription for being ripped off. Have restaurants call for a cab if you don’t want to walk. Credit cards are generally accepted. Have Czech currency rather than euros.

A Wonderful Hotel in an Incredibly Beautiful City

This is a hotel that really impressed us. The hotel is very beautiful and was impeccably clean. The breakfast buffet was superb. The hotel employees were very friendly, helful and knowledgeable about the city. We would have liked to use the spa facility which looked very inviting, but there was so much to see in Prague that we did not have time. We fell in love with Prague and we want to come back soon.

Great Find!

Walking distance to Old Town square, St Charles bridge and with a little effort, the Prague Castle. Great included breakfast. Close to rail stops and underground train stops. Bathrooms small but nice - incl heated marble floor. Friendly service- good English - as in most of town.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

The Metropol is a great bar a block away across the street.
