Awesome Pool!!
This hotel has the best swimming pool. It’s a heated salt water pool with a spa next to it in a cabana. This is our 2nd time there & the pool just keeps getting better. We were so glad to get off the highway and have a relaxing swim in the pool and soak in the hot tub which has a waterfall to massage those shoulders! There is a decent restaurant attached to the hotel and a gas station next door so it’s a great stop on a raod trip. The rooms are nice annd we’ve never had a noise problem there. The hotel allows pets which is nice as we travel with our dogs. The room is a bit crowded for us but we travel with 2 large sons and 2 decent sized dogs. If it was just 2 or 3 people it would be fine. We travel to north eastern Maine every year. This Best Western is going to be a stop each time!

Best Western perfect for staying within 5 mins. driving of downtown Portland
If you want a reasonable place to stay just outside of Portland in S. Portland(5 mins drive), the Best Western is a great bet. We were skeptical when we first looked at the outside--it’s next to a restaurant that’s falling apart--but we stayed in the complex farthest away from the main road and it was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We also stayed on the top floor. I would request a room in this rear building since it’s farthest away from the busy street. We couldn’t hear a thing. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown Portland. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a good-quality, low-cost hotel close to Portland. We had no problems at all during our weekend stay here.
