Comfortable hotel, centrally located
This was a great hotel that was within walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see. The staff was very accomodating and the rooms were very clean. I was extremely pleased with my stay and would return again.
Buy an Oyster pass for the week and save a ton of money. It is very easy to manage the Tube once you get a hang of it and it will take you almost anywhere in the city you would like to go.

Highly Recommended
1 minute walk from Trafalgar Square, mibutes walk from any West End theatre, The Southbank, and any other attraction you can think of+a few supermarkets and many restaurants. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Staff - nice and helpful. A highly recommended hotel.
Very close to Charing Cross and Bank stations, and not far from Leicester Square station. From Heathrow airport - I take the Picadilly line to Leicester and from there - either walk or take the Northern to Charing Cross. Very easy. About 40 minutes, (not in the rush hours, of course).

Crud in the Ice bucket, poor maintenance, and construction everywhere.
To begin, the location was outstanding and the room was adequate. They also provided free in-room wifi. The staff was very accommodating. There were problems. The wait for the lift was 1/2 hr or so because one of the two lifts was out of operation. The hotel was without electricity from 12:00 noon to about 6:00 PM on 11/8/09 and no refund was offered. There was no ice bucket in the room and they nicely delivered one, full of ice. The issue was that when I used up the ice, I discovered a cracked inner lining and black/brown crud in the bottom of the bucket. Also the ice machines were broken on at least the 8th and 9th floors. Finally the shower was cool on 2 days. The lobby was not available and was under construction. This is not a fully functional hotel.
