Funky place

I went there to learn riding, lots horses stables around, a beautiful forest for hacking out. Not a place for those who don’t drive. taxi is very expensive: 3 miles trip cost 20 Euros. The hotel provides basic comfort, basic food, and basic service, nothing to complain about. The spa, we had a 30 min massage. It was very very good.

A place to relax

For People who want to visit Brussels, the Dolce hotel in La Hulp is a bit far from Brussels (about 20 km), but in my opinion the location is worth the travel between La Hulp and Brussels. I recommend renting a car, in which case since the hotel provides plenty of parking spaces (free of charge of course) you only had to deal with the "parking issue" in Brussels (which is not bad, contrary to what I had heard). It takes about 20 minutes from the center of Brussels to the hotel by car, if you know your way. The hotel is located at a lovely spot: quite, pleasant and interestingly cooler than Brussels in mid August which was nice. The staffs are considerate, friendly, and helpful. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The hotel is a place where one can rewind and relax, due to its location and facilities. Spa, pool, and Hammam are great, but what really caught my attention was the exercise room. For a person who knows how to conduct an effective workout, the exercise room is just a smidgen shy of a gym; definitely not an ordinary hotel exercise room. All in all, it is a great hotel, where I can surely go back to when I am in Brussels.

Great place!

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. The pool and spa were wonderful, but our favorite part of the trip was hiking the trails around the hotel. It is also such a quick drive to Waterloo or into Brussels to see the sites. The internet worked well, and we loved the design of the lobby. The food was also good at the restaurant, but it is pricey (like almost all restaurants in Europe). We would love to go back.

Tranquil, designer, cold hotel

Splendid high quality Conference centre /hotel in the forest a half hour from Brussels. AS it is a conference centre, the customer orientation is very good. Excellent rooms looking over the forest. Restaurant a bit pricey and transport not that good unless you have a car. But makes up for it with tranquil surroundings and designer bathrooms and reception area. Free Wifi as all hotels should have. Walks and bike rides available. Swimming pool and small fitness centre. One downside, is they still have not sorted out the heating. Air conditioning remains permanently on, even in winter. There is a temperature problem for over 9 months now. Rooms can be very cold in winter and even in July can require double duvets! Apart from this, a great place to stay, away from the bustle.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

In the summer you can walk to the nearby Chateau, or hire bikes to go through the forest

Definitely going back

While this hotel does cater more towards the business traveler, the hotel was in a perfect location for our vacation. This modern hotel is surrounded by hundreds of trees...beautiful! There were even trails for hiking. The rooms were a bit small, but this is normal for European hotels. We absolutely loved the indoor swimming pool and both the dry and wet saunas!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Brussels is only about 15 km north and during our stay, we went to Walibi world (formerly owned by six flags) which is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. If you don’t have a car, it may be a bit difficult to get around since it is located in the small town of La Hulpe, but there is a train station that connects to Brussels about 5 minutes from the hotel. If you have extra time, visit the Chateau La Hulpe, about 3 minutes from the hotel.
