Good location
Good location near harbor and ferry’s. Many good restaurants a short drive. In quiet neighborhood

My boyfriend and I had no idea this place was a bed-and-breakfast, so we were quite unpleasantly surprised when we realized "Ocean Manor" was little more than a house. Once we got over the initial shock, & I was able to convince him to stay, though, we agreed the place was actually quite nice. They upgraded us to an upstairs room with a small balcony. The place was very, very clean, and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. Also, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic; I only wish the bathroom had a tub. The room had great light, and a great breeze off the water, as well as air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a microwave. (We had asked for those last 2, but most places won’t usually provide them.) And in the morning, we thoroughly enjoyed fresh-baked muffins (cranberry, blueberry, and chocolate chip), as well as cereals and fresh fruit. The JFK Memorial & some nice restaurants are within walking distance, and so’s the beach and ferries to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. If you like making conversation and appreciate great muffins, this place is for you.
Traveler's tip
Our only real gripe with the place was "the lady of the house." (I don’t know what else to call her.) She was very hands-on, to the point of being intrusive. My boyfriend and I aren’t interested in checking in with someone when we come in and out of our room. We didn’t like having to tiptop around so as to avoid being drawn into awkward conversation. The place really was nice, though, if a bed-and-breakfast is your cup of tea.
