Nice Option
Hotels were booked in Virginia Beach when we made a last-minute decision to visit over the Labor Day holiday. This hotel was a 20-minute drive from the beach and also provided easy access to Norfolk. The rates were very reasonable.

Very Nice Hotel
The hotel was very good for the price the staff was very courtious they just need to know where the attractions are nobody could direct us to the beach nor could they give us any type of brochure to guide us the beach was not as close as we thought (about 1/2 hour)but over all it was a nice clean hotel

Best Value When Visiting Virginia Beach
Whenever possible, Hampton Inns are the only hotels we’ve stayed with for the last 8 years. Being on a budget, we couldn’t afford the hotels directly on the beach. We were willing to make the 30 min. drive for some savings and were thrilled to find a Hampton Inn with a room that was about a quarter of the cost. Area is acceptable and very convenient to stores, restaurants, and freeway access. Hotel and staff were fantastic! Hotel and rooms were clean and staff were polite, cheerful and accommodating. I’d recommend Hampton Inns to anyone, and this location was no exception!
For "family-friendly" areas on the beach, head north and start looking for accesses around 65th street. All beaches are public and here you’ll find far more locals and fewer rowdy types. Also, for only a few bucks more than normal movie admission, take the family to see movies at the massive-screened IMAX theatre (at the VA Air & Space Museum in Hampton-about 20 min drive from above hotel!)
