Awesome
The hotel was great. Great location, cool and helpful staff and the place was comfortable and clean. My only complaint was whe I ordered pizza it was recomended that I order from pepperonis, I did and it was a mistake. That pizza is by far the worst place to ever order food from in the entire city of Melbourne and most likely in the entire country of Australia. My 9 year old daughter wouldnt finish even one piece. If a 9 year old turns down pizza, you know its bad. So, to recap, hotel-good and hotel staffs advice for pizza places-BAD. I liked the hotel, didnt like pepperonis pizza. so basically I guess Im saying you should stay at the hotel, but whatever you do, DO NOT order the pizza!!!!
Call Phillip Island Helicopters for a beautiful ride around phillip Island when you go to see the fairy penguins. Also if you are heading out to the track on the island, they will charter a flight out there for you at a reasonable cost. you will love it.

Medina once again proves its worth.
The medina chain as a whole has been good for me, but this one was definitely superior. The staff at the Executive Northbank was exceptional. Very friendly, informative, and helpful with any requests or questions I came up with. The area the hotel is fine - there have been some reviews about the streets next to the hotel being a little seedy, but overall it is not an issue... it is also very close to most of the main attractions that Melbourne has to offer - very within wlaking distance. I would not hesitate to reccomend this place to my friends family and co workers as a great place to stay when in Melbourne.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The melbourne free city circle tram stops directly outside the hotel. It is a great way to skip around to the other side of downtown or just to roll around on.

Comfy and convenient
The hotel is on the free City Circle tram line and is only a few blocks from Southern Cross station. The gym is small but adequate.

Use the kitchen facilities to prepare your own food! There are various supermarkets down-town where you can buy fresh and prepared food to take back with you.
