What a fantastic, quaint Austrian Hotel!
This hotel was wonderful! The rooms are furnished with Austrian antique style furnishings but yet the rooms have all the amenities a traveler would want. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and restful. The staff at the hotel was wonderful ... helping us with many questions. Great location ... right in the center of historic Salzburg. The Goldener Hirsch restaurant was excellent too. I would highly recommend this hotel if you like quaint, historic hotels.

World Class!
Hotel Goldener Hirsch defines luxury and comfort. The staff were incredibly accommodating in every way, be it with dinner reservations or scheduling a day trip in the Alps. The location is in the old part of town and offers a convenient location to some of the best sites of the city. My fiancé and I actually got engaged in Salzburg and we will definitely be returning to the Goldner Hirsch for many years to come.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Hotel is less than a block from Mozart’s birthplace. Also be sure to visit the hotel’s more casual restaurant, Restaurant s’Herzl - it is excellent!
