A quiet place in the country
This hotel is clean, quiet, and well-managed. The entire staff is helpful, hospitable, and courteous, and it includes English speakers. The manager is clearly proud and excited about the attractions of the area and eager to offer advice, history, and directions. His restaurant recommendations were quite helpful and his descriptions were accurate. The hotel is furnished in contemporary style and includes all that is needed for a pleasant stay. The only reason I did not give a higher rating on comfort is that my wife likes to sleep with an open window. There is a sliding door from each room to a private patio but the door has no screen. The rooms are designed for air conditioning and not for access to outside air. The location of the hotel is in the country and may take some effort to find, but once there it is a convenient base from which to visit Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Modica Marina and nearby beaches. We took advantage of the ferry from Pozzula for a day-trip to Malta. The continental breakfast provided with the room was well presented and included a fine assortment of breads, cheeses, and pastries.
