Nice, secure and quiet for a Carrowinds get-away
We picked this hotel for our stay during our trip to Carrowinds because it had sleeper sofa and could sleep 5. We found it clean, secure, quiet and nicely located. It was near a large shopping area with eating near-by. The free breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Only good thing-free breakfast.
The only thing good about this hotel was the breakfast which consisted of "make yourself waffles", buffet scrambled eggs, bacon, (one day sausage) biscuits and gravy, and usual assortment of cold cereal, bread for do it yourself toast, coffee, and orange juice. There was not much seating. The room seemed clean, but smelled musty (windows do not open), the beds were horribly hard. The TV cable has to be constantly adjusted because of "snow effect". The bathroom was not clean. There was hair everywhere (especially around/ on the toilet)! The tub/ shower worse(yes there was hair on the walls too). I did not want to get in w/o flip flops. I went as so far as to go to the kamrt next door to get clorox clean up to clean myself (which I did for the 4 night stay) It did not appear the floor was being vacuumed, after cleaning the bathroom floor, upon walking back in more hair short to long (dark black which no one in our family of 3 has)appeared as if tracked in on the bottom of our shoes. I scrubbed the tub which looked like someone got in w/ very dirty feet repeatedly ( it was stained, and would not come out). There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so when you take a shower there is no where for the steam to go (hence the musty mil-due smell in the room). The pool was nice for our child, but was very small, and not much room to move around when 5-8 people in at one time. The hotel staff was polite.
