The place to stay in PR!
The grounds are beautiful, friendly staff, and great nightlife - where all the locals go on fri and sat!

warm, sunny and relaxing-but pack a pair of ear plugs.
My boyfriend and I got a great deal on this place including flights. We stayed in the garden rooms away from the main hotel- they are not the stunning rooms displayed here-but honestly fine and clean (I believe the whole place is getting an update-but in the meantime it is what it is-average room, in need of new mattress and tv- but fine!) landscaping begins at 7AM (well, actually 6:45am) and the band plays late at rooftop restaurant- so if sleep is important to you- bring earplugs. The staff was less than apologetic- which was a bit annoying- but the weather is just too nice to really care ;) pool is great, beach great- always a seat no matter what time you arrive (visited late nov-"Before busy season") hotel food is expensive (as in any hotel) but Koko’s was worth the splurge. Luipis right outside hotel and to the left was good and cheap-ish. Pizza place and another mexican place (Tacatos I think!) about 10 minute walk ( to your right) Also, if you follow the road right by chilis- there is a supermarket. Prepared foods and deli- great and CHEAP. also a million fast food places if you choose. poolside drinks are $12. thats crazy- buy a bottle and make some drinks in your room or gamble and get some in the casino. If you do gamble- get a players card. You can get comps towards hotel bill, meals and drinks. oh, POOLSIDE MASSAGE WITH BILL- AMAZING!!! worth every penny.

Great Resort
We enjoyed our stay at the El San Juan. The pool and beach areas are beautiful! It did help that we were they in October- we almost had the place to ourselves. It also helped that the hotel rates were greatly discounted during this time. My only complaint is that one night there was extremely loud music somewhere in the hotel that kept us awake. The other nights were quiet.
