Great Hotel
The hotel is on the outskirts but well worth it. The staff spoke great English, and were very helpful with directions. We had our camera stolen earlier in Venice and the staff helped us with directions to find an electronics store outside of town. The also were able to buy us tickets to Michalangelos David. (Which saved us a tremendous amount of time). the view from the roof is amazing and its too bad we didnt have enough time to take andvantage of the Turkish baths. The breakfast was free and delicious. The room was small and very modern. Had robes, slippers, etc. All the things you would expect from a 4 Star hotel. Its like they say, "You get what you pay for", and after staying at some cheaper places, it was definitly relaxing staying here.

Good Value
The location of the hotel is a little removed (15 minute walk into the middle of the city) and the views from the hotel are nothing special however the hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are large for Europe and the furnishing are modern and everything feels new. Another perk is that the parking was free and the beverages in the mini-bar were also complimentary.
Traveler's tip on dining
Highly recommend the Golden View Open Bar for dinner. My wife and I liked it so much we went there twice. Very good food, cool design. I nice alternative to the more traditional places.

Review- AC Firenze
Hotel is new and modern, mostly in chrome and glass. Location is at the edge of town outside the ancient walls - it is about a 25 minute walk to the center of town (e.g. Duomo). It is comfortable, with free underground parking. Clientelle is mixed tourist and business. Dining room is very expensive (for dinner) and was basically not used. Hotel street was not in my GPS, and thus was hard to find (it also wasnt on my city map - appears to be a new street). The only problem was the staff, which seemed to be less competent and less friendly than the norm for my trip to Italy. Given that there are very few hotels in Florence with parking, I would stay there again.
Traveler's tip
If you have a car, this is one of the few places to stay. If youre sightseeing, take a taxi to the center - the walk is a bit long.
