This hotel is great. I love the pools and beach! Walking on the beach was the best way to relaxing. We enjoyed the live music on the pool/beachbar. Everything was really great.

Could not go to Beachcomber and NOT hit Players Sports bar. It was real nice and had a very nice crowd the evening that we were there. The Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome,

Awesome Getaway

I was so impressed with the Beachcomber. It was a great place to get away. They have live music in the afternoon and evenings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My Mom and I will definitly go back. Awesome place and so much fun!

The staff at the Beachcomber are some of the nicest people I have ever met. If you have questions about anything they are more than willing to help! The bar on the beach at the back of the resort is awesome for nightlife and during the day! Live bands, awesome drinks!

this was the best place i’ve ever been

the hotel was so nice i love the staff they where great! and all the rooms come with full kitchens!!! so nice! wow i cant say anything bad it was wounderful! good memorys!if u want to go fishin go on the weekends,cause u can only do half days on the boat on weekends!yummy..all rooms come with ful kitchens so u can cook your own fish!!lol!! and the super market is just north on the trolly!(public supermarket)

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

take the trolly every where its cheaper than renting a car or taxi! the stop is right in front of the hotel if u are going north & if u are going south the trolly stops in front of the 7eleven a cross the street!!! it is cheaper to do a whole week trolly ticket for $10.00per person! but 1day ticket is $3.00!:) if u want to, go fishin go on the weekends,cause u can only do a whole week trolly tickit for $10.00per person! but 1way ticket is $1.50!:)

good location - poor condition

Hotel was easy to find and check-in was easy. There was not enough parking and the room had a strong mildew smell. Housekeeping staff was great and front desk service was great also.

not what expected at all...

pictures were waaaay better than actual hotel. beach was more like recycled clam shells on the coastline.

We had a wonderful stay at the Beachcomber. Our room was very comfortable and large. Had a full kitchen with all the supplies one would need. The beach was beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpful.

We dined at Snappers which was almost right across the street from the Beachcomber. One of the best meals I have ever had. Great food!

Not impressed

I was not at all impressed by this hotel. The rooms needed updating and the tiles in the bathroom were old. The faucet in the first room they gave did not work, so they had to give us another room. The only good thing about this hotel is that its right on the beach, they had live music and a place to eat at the entrance to the beach. The pool also looked nice and clean.

Only good thing is it’s on the beach

Rooms were not clean, smelled and the upkeep of the facility was poor. Was behind the outside bar and was disturbed by the music all night. It is on a beautiful beach and the price was good- but accomodations were not comfortable.

A great place to stay for the price

The hotel was decent for budget recession traveling, comfortable rooms, nice pool, and right on the beach. Just the perfect place for relaxing and hanging out on the beach, and close to shops, restaurants,bars, and clubs.

large pool was not cleaned properly for several days. filter did not seem in proper working order. slimmy with lots of hair on surface. reported to management several times by different customers but not repaired.

Great Place

We were really surprised with this hotel. We had arrived prior to the 4:00 p.m. checkin and walked around the facility and down to the beach. We were somewhat worried about the beach bar at the back of the hotel with the loud music. Once we checked in to the room we didn’t hear the music at all. Staff was friendly, helpful and terrific!!! The cleaning staff was friendly

parking very bad had 1 way pull in had to back out. not good in an suv. 2 bars in courtyard not a very family friendly location. 1 room very small and cramped.

Rude Manager

Let me start off by saying this was my second trip to beachcomber the first ti,e I was there I was treated like a QUEEN and when I went back 6 months later I was treated like a DOG..........

If you want CHEAP then this is your place just don’t call and comfirm your trip cause I did and when I got there it all changed and I was treated rudely. I will only stay there again if it the ONLY place available other then that I will choice somewhere else.

No elevators was a drag for 2nd floor.

Was a daily charge for in room safe - what a rip off! Have to back out of the parking lots on either side of hotel - can’t turn around at end! Grounds were very nicely landscaped and liked having the bars on site.

Not bad, not great either

Being a business traveler, I’ve come to expect a certain level of service, decor, cleanliness and appearance at the places I stay. While the staff was courteous and the landscaping nice, the facilities seem dated and are showing wear, if not their age. I would describe it as a very nice motel, not a hotel, nor a resort.

Rooms were very clean, Hotel staff friendly and very informative regarding restaurants, transportation and shopping.

If you don’t have a car the best way around is the trolley, hard to beat the all day pass. Sometimes it feels like you wait forever to be picked up, even though the schedule says it runs every 30 minutes. Not a lot to do, we spent a lot of time in John’s Pass - great shopping and food (make sure to visit Bubba Gump’s).

The Good with the Bad

The daily live music, 2 pools and courtyard were great. Our room had a broken head board and broken faucet fixture in which we had to call maintenance. The interior design of the room was dark and unimaginative; it did not have any sort of beach feel or motif.

Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is just a short trolley ride north and so worth it! Burgers in Paradise, right across the street, just opened the week we were there. Great food and atmosphere!
