OK if you have a car
The hotel is ultra-modern and lacking in charm. Cold, sterile feel. Service was spotty though never unfriendly (unstaffed bar, one person at reception with 8 guests lined up). Because we had a car and did not care to navigate Granada’s narrow and tricky streets, this hotel suited us well for a 2 night stay. A 10 euro taxi ride or a 1.5 euro bus ride (convenient stops near hotel) got us to Albaycin, Plaza Nueva, etc. We are walkers, but it would be a challenging and not terribly charming walk UP to the Alhambra; 5 euros for a taxi to the entrance.

Good location for Alhambra, but far from the city center.
The hotel was completely acceptable in every way. The only issue is that it is a bit outside the city center. There is nothing around it. But the bus service is often and convenient. Unfortunately the day we arrived there was a bicycle race though and buses were severely impacted. We waited over 30 minutes at the bus stop to get to Alhambra - we could have walked in that time! The next day bus service was much better. While everything was fine, I would have preferred to be much more centrally located. But the value of this hotel made it worth it really. In the off season (or with more effort) I am sure one could find something as good or better more central though.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
When visiting Alhambra know that once you enter the gates and they scan your ticket, you aren’t free to do as you please. Your time on the ticket is not just for entry to the territory, it is actually for entry to the palace. Don’t enjoy the grounds - go directly to the palace. Enjoy the grounds later - they will deny you entry if not at the palace at the time on your ticket.
