The hotel was about to close and is pretty rundown. I would recommend staying a few blocks closer to the downtown center.

Poor Choice

Stayed 2 nights here. Location is near noisy nightclubs. Room plugs all unplugged, no air, no lights and missing remote for tv. Floor not vacuumed in a week. Grease spots in tub and floor. Strong stale smoke odor (non smoking room)throughout second floor. Soda machines empty and poorly maintained. Meager breakfast. Go elsewhere. You get what you pay for. Management is cheap and it shows.

Good location

This hotel was fairly centrally located from the Space Needle and the Pike Place Market. However, we understood that as of June 15, the hotel will close and be converted into a dorm for a nearby college.

Good location, safe, and easy walk to convention center

Modest, but very functional hotel within easy walking distance to the convention center. Rooms adequate (although advertised wireless internet was actually a hardwired connection with poor access to desk and power outlet. Breakfast was adequate. Overall excellent value for the price.

Good enough for the price

While not the best hotel to stay at in Seattle, it is definitely cheap and clean - two things that any student/business traveler welcomes. It is close to all the downtown attractions, so it is easy to walk everywhere you go. Cons - the free internet keeps you strapped to the wall while you use it and the cord isn’t that long and there aren’t any outlets that are easily accessible. It is an older hotel that could probably use some renovation. All in all, I would stay there again if I went traveled again to Seattle just for price and cleanliness not for total comfort.

Clean hotel

This hotel is quite clean. The location is good. I feel quite safe when walking around this area. It was abit hard to find the place for dinner.

I’ve seen worse, but look elsewhere

I only stayed at this hotel because the price was lower than most other hotels in the downtown Seattle area, and it was relatively close to the events I was attending. No conditioner is provided, and when I asked the front desk staff if they had any travel size conditioner, they said no and they couldn’t help me - this in spite of the fact that they have a sign in the room that says if you’ve forgotten anything, just ask them for help. The walls are paper thin and I could hear people arguing and having sex in other rooms; thus I had much difficulty falling asleep. Several of the outlets in the room didn’t work, and neither did the remote control. The comforter looked like it had never been washed (would not want to see it under a blacklight). The continental breakfast is nothing decent - even when coming early for better selections, it was only the same greasy pre-packaged muffins that are sold in vending machines, and a few bagels/dried-up pastries. Just what everyone needs for breakfast - transfat and sugar. Why even bother with a continental breakfast if you don’t provide anything decent? It’s worth paying a little extra per night to have a nicer place. There are other hotels in the area that are much nicer (as I learned from visiting friends’ hotels during my stay) and don’t charge that much more. I’d pass on this hotel.

Clean, efficient and hospitable. Easy to access from the freeway with Space Needle in very close proximity.

Would stay there again

We stayed here for four nights. When we first checked in, the overhead light in the room was out. We told the front desk as we were going out for the night, but no one came to fix it. We had to ask again the next morning, at which point it was replaced. The hotel was clean. The rooms are a little small, but the free breakfast more than makes up for that. It was a very nice spread, including a waffle maker. Our room was on the corner of the hotel, and the first night the lounge across the street was noisy, but we had no problems any other night. I would stay there again.

I thought that the continental breakfast was great. Better than your ordinary meal at other hotels. I was a little paranoid in area around hotel due to the fact that I haven’t been in a big city for quite some time. The rooms seem plenty safe since you must have a door key to get into elevator and up on floors. Overall, the motel was fine, though beds were not the best. Pillows were fluffy if you like that.

Plenty to do downtown if you don’t make the walk. Get a downtown map so it is easier to find what you are looking for. If you just plan to stay in town and not go anywhere else, you really do not need a vehicle. Plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. If you have not been to the aquarium, you must go. It is great and do buy the City tickets in advance. I did not and still did all the attractions for twice the price. The City tickets are worth the $$ they cost.

OK place for a brief stay

The hotel is convenient and in walking distance to the convention center. I selected this hotel because it had free wi-fi access; however, it was not working in my room. I waited many hours and stayed up for the service provider to call me back with some resolution; but they called the next day and told me that it wouldn’t work..and that I could use the wireless in the lounge. I was told that this service was not available for tenants to use until the day I checked out and it was too late. The plus service in this hotel was their generous and hearty breakfast offerings that came with the room.

Easy access to the convention center and major hotels that hold meetings. Check to see if the internet access works before checking in. Hotel staff changes and some of them are very pleasant and try to help to make a pleasant stay.

Good deal

The hotel was located in close proximity to my business at the convention center at truly a fraction of the cost. The brief walk to the heart of downtown was very doable. Added bonus is the Whole Foods Market 2 min. away from the hotel! I was able to avoid the crappy/unhealthy food one often partakes in while traveling. The front desk staff was very kind and efficient.

Quiet with good location

It’s a quiet hotel with good location. Staff are friendly and ready to help. Provided breakfast is convenient to travelers though it’s simple.

My visit to Seattle was related to a conference and multiple job interviews. Overall, the hotel was decent. For those with high expectations, go somewhere else. Anyone who looks for a place to sleep only, then this is your place. Please note that the rooms do not actually have WiFi, but they do have free internet access.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Learn how to navigate the public transportation as soon as possible. The walk from the hotel to the downtown core is not bad, but for those rainy days, public transportation is a free option and will keep you dry.

Off the beaten path

I was looking to save a few dollars by staying a little further away from the heart of downtown. This hotel was not the nicest one in the area, but it had a clean bed all of the basics that you need. Good choice if you are pinching pennies but still want to be within walking distance of downtown!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you are staying on the weekend you may prefer the street side - even though the traffic can be a bit noisy in the morning, there is a night club behind the hotel that is busy on Friday and Saturday nights. The hotel clerk told me about that, and was also very helpful in giving directions!

Great location!

The room was comfortable and very clean but the bathtub filled up when you took a shower. This is the second time that’s happened on a trip to Seattle. The location was terrific and the staff helpful except for on our last day. The front desk clerks were talking amongst themselves and not friendly at all which wasn’t typical during the other days we stayed at the hotel. The remaining staff was very attentive.

It is OK

Considering the price, it’s Ok hotel if you can bear with noises from upper floor. Except for that, the hotel locates nice area, and people were thoroughly nice.

Great location for a reasonable price

The Day’s Inn hotel is within walking distance to downtown Seattle as well as the Seattle center (Space Needle, Sci-Fi Museum, etc.) The room we stayed in had a TV, writing desk, heater/air conditioner, and of course our own bathroom and shower. Just be aware that the heater makes a lot of noise if you turn the heat on to the maximum level. It might be wise to bring an extra blanket or request extra blankets at the front desk. The room also included free wired internet access which was adequate but stopped working for some reason on the 2nd day we were there. An ice machine and vending machine were available on the same floor.

Check out the FOX Sport’s bar and grill in downtown Seattle. The baseball cut steak was DELICIOUS!

Downtown Seattle

The hotel is old but in walking distance to the Space Needle. The elevators were a bit scary but the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms were very well done. The one crapy part was, the hotel is so close to the Space Needle but the windows for the rooms do not face the Needle and therefore no view. :(

would recommend

WIll plan to go back & use the Days Inn again. Breakfast was great.
