Not four star

This hotel would be better described as a three star hotel. It is a good three star hotel located right on the beach (very close to the famous mountain rock that extends out into the water).

Nice but a little tight

The hotel was conveniently located on the beach and a 5 minute walk from the public & free parking lot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was compact but clean with a very small fridge. Bathroom was tight with a tiny shower. TV in room had no English language programs, but you could get BBC in the lobby. Continental brkfst was reasonable but become a little monotonous after one week. The inhouse open air restaurant on the beach was nice, the menue varied and competitively priced. House guests get 10% off. The two pools were rarely fully occupied, back pool was nice and quiet.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you visit ancient Thira on top of the nearby mountain, go early, it gets hot and closes at 2:30 pm. The village of Pirgos is nearby and the view from the top of the Castello is fantastic. On top don’t miss Franco"s cafe for the view and the food. Worthwile to visit is the wine museum on the Kamari road to the airport. Fridays they have a winetasting, buffet, greek music and folk dances.
