Immaculate, comfortable, short walk from metro
The Holiday Inn Porte de Clichy is a little out of the way but easily reached by the metro. Maximum comfort and large sized rooms. Front desk staff was energetic, professional and competent = very helpful and courteous. I stayed near Gard de Est railway station following my stay at the Holiday Inn for more local flavor.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Nearby Morrocan shish kebab reataurant = flavorful meals. Distant from the airport but check out bus #350 which cost 5 Euros to downtown Paris.

Holiday Inn Porte de Clichy Paris
In Paris suburb, of Clichy. Near a Metro station and has easy access to center of Paris. Would be an expensive cab trip to central Paris, willingness to use Metro essential. The suburb of Clichy is filthy. Very few English speaking people on the streets to help with directions. The Hotel staff had no knowledge of the local services in Clichy. Hotel staff spoke English and were polite and helpfuley were able . Their knowledge of Paris and airport directions was limited. Most directions to places, activity s, restaurants was self help. Rooms were clean, no amenities. Beds small and hard. Shower adequate, towel and linen service inadequate. For the "independent" traveler who only uses the room to sleep.

close to train system
We paid for a 2 double bed room for 3 of us and they gave us a room with only 1 double bed and a cot! With no breakfast included this hotel was a bit pricey, it was also not in the best side of town. The rooms were clean and nice, the service was nice to.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
You can get a 3 or more day train/bus pass and get all over the city without the hassel of stopping to pay at each stop.
