This is what a hotel should be like!
+ Professional and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, quiet, clean. I just loved the bed, I wish I had one of these at home! Great coffee-machine in the lobby. Good idea to provide these rooms with ironing board and iron. The hotel is has a strict non-smoking policy, which all guests seemed to understand. That was another wonderful thing: all the other guest were so friendly and well-behaved. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, we walked to Cambridge and Harvard medical area and just took our bicycles or public transport to go beyond. - The size of the room was too small for two moderate cases, only one chair fitted in. Advise: take out the dressoir and screw the - gigantic- television to the wall. Put in one or two extra chairs.

expected little, pleasantly surprised
Booked hotel for Head of the Charles -- at last minute. Room was expensive, but after a long, wet, cold day the comfort, cleanliness, small size was all my daughter and I could have asked for and more.
We arrived too late, and left too early to take advantage of shopping in area despite all stores being attractive, welcoming, and open late. We ate at a wonderful italian restaurant suggested by the hotel that was willing to take us "as is" tired from very long, wet, and energetic day at head of Charles.
