not a good choice
I was going to Key West and had to sleep in Fort Lauderdale. It was too late and I decided to take a cheap hotel to sleep, so we chose the Econo Lodge. The lady at front desk was not so helpful but it might be expected due to that time (about 11pm). We got the room, put our stuffs and sleep. Next morning we need to take a shower and notice that there was no hot water on that room. I try to call the front desk but the phone was not working too. I had to walk up to front desk to tell what was happening. The guy was very friendly and gave me the key of the next door room. The room was a very worn and you can notice that everything is very old. If I had another chance to stay in Fort Lauderdale, even if it’s only to sleep, I’d never stay in this hotel again.

Excellent Value
For a location so close to the beaches in the NE quadrant of FTL this hotel is a value id recommend anyone. The service was good, the room very clean, new/clean carpeting. Free WiFi... great value.
