Nice

Partying in the hallway
The hotel was very, very nice and the staff at the desk was very helpful. Evidently there was an event at the hotel and at 2 in the morning the party moved to the hallway on the floor where we were staying. Finally around 2:30 am, I called the front desk to complain and they told me that the person was locked out of their room and they were waiting on maintenance to unlock the room. I find this very unusual since the hotel has key cards that can just be rekeyed and not keep the whole hotel awake in the middle of the night. Since this was a business trip for me, I had to get up at 6:30 in the morning. Also, this was many people partying and not just one waiting to get into a room. The hotel has a very nice lobby area with very comfortable chairs and also a TV where these folks could have waited.

Great value, good location
Room was spacious and clean. Free wireless in room and throughout hotel. Staff were courteous and competent. Convenient location to restaurants and shops.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Francis Scott Key, who wrote "The Star-Spangled Banner" is buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery just a couple of miles from hotel. The White Star Lunch N Ette on Motter and 7th St in Frederick is a local favorite for chili dogs.
